In July, we went on a beach trip with all of my family….all parents, siblings, and children were there…all 15 of us! My dad did rent another condo for the week because there were so many of us. I was a lot of fun to be with my family for the whole week..EVEN THOUGH, our children were NOT the most cooperative. Remember how I mentioned earlier that they are high maintenance sleepers…well, because of that, we usually get one of the master bedrooms and Campbell sleeps in the master closet (which is big and has an air vent). We bought a blow up mattress for Trigger…however, after the first night of him flipping on the lights around 2 AM and roaming around the room several times and needing to go tee-tee every 30 minutes, we chose to let him sleep with us for the rest of the trip. The hard part of the trip was that Campbell was teething…three of his molars were trying to come in and he was FUSSY!!!! AND, after day ONE of being at the beach, he got a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE (THE worst either of mine have ever had by a far stretch) diaper rash…so much that it was bleeding and bleeding. IT was interesting!!! I had to go out to the car in the mornings (since he woke at 5 AM) to change his diaper in the back of the tahoe…trying to keep from waking up Trigger and Reid and the rest of the family. I was just hoping that no one would be in the parking garage because: A. for safety reasons and B. so they wouldn’t call the police on me thinking I was kidnapping or abusing a child…because when you changed his diaper, there was screaming…like as if you were chopping a limb off! I felt so sorry for the poor little guy. He didn’t get to go back to the water for the rest of the trip. I’m hoping the next time we go…which will probably….most definitely if you ask matt…not being going next year…but im hoping the next time we will get a little more time at the water. We did get to go out to eat each night. The food is something that my dad loves!!! I was surprised that we didn’t have to wait long at any of the places to get seated with 15 people!
Oh and I know this will come as a shock to most of you but I barely took any pictures on this trip…really, I mean it….barely any at all! Kind of sad but I was so busy and it was pretty stressful dealing with Campbell so pictures didn’t really happen.Eating at Guy Harveys. After eating that night, we went down and got some dipping dots. YUM! and the men boys played with this little game. You put your coin in and try to make it push the rest of the coins off and you get to keep them. They were entertained. One of the highlights of the trip was that my brother Lance proposed to his girlfriend, Chelse. They will get married next fall. Look at my cute little boy with girl glasses on.
