Home

We have spent alot of time at home lately and I’m loving it.  However, I do really need to run at least ONE errand so I don’t go stir crazy.  Our normal day looks like this:

7:00/7:30- Get up

      - feed Campbell (Campbell eats every three hours still during the day unless he’s asleep…I’m not going to put his schedule on here  because    the timing all depends on his first feeding of the day) and  feed Trigger

8:00-11:00- Trigger plays; I try to do laundry/dishes (NOTE that I used the word “TRY” because little Campbell can be quite demanding!)

                - Around 9:00- I pin Trigger in to the back portion in the house and put Campbell in his bouncer or carseat and I take a shower and get ready.  You know

it’s amazing how fast I can get ready these days!  I sometimes wonder what in the world used to take me so long.

     - We also usually use this time slot to run our daily errand too….if we don’t get it done now, we have to wait until after nap.

11/11:30- Feed Trigger lunch

This past week I fed Trigger his first peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  Our pediatrician recommends that you wait until 2 years of age          before giving your child peanut butter because of the increasing amount of peanut allergies.  Well, I chose to go ahead and try it BECAUSE Trigger found a bag of reeses pieces that I had and ate whatever was left…so I assumed that meant he wasn’t allergic.  Of course like any neurotic mother, I took a million pictures of him eating the sandwich.  You know it’s bad when Trigger didn’t even blink twice at the fact that I turned his lunch time into a photo shoot.  HAHA! OH and by the way, HE LOVED IT!!!  I’m so glad because that will be something easy to feed him…I never like peanut butter and jelly when I was little.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve eaten one before…just tasted.  Now, as an adult, I will eat just peanut butter on bread!

12-12:30/1- We play some more

12:30/1-3ish- Naptime (I don’t have a picture of Trigger napping because he’s such a light sleeper.  I do have this funny picture of Campbell napping though!)

This is Trigger (and Campbell) watching Cars and eating a little snack.  That bowl in the picture is the bowl that I used to eat popcorn out of when I was a little girl!

6:00- Eat supper

6:45- Bathtime

7:15- Bedtime--  I have to tell this story because it was so sweet.  Background: I like to sing “amazing grace” to Trigger when he’s really upset or sometimes while rocking him for nap.  Well, last night, I read his three little board books to him.  He was pretty talkative…more than normal so I was thinking that it would take him awhile to settle down.  Well, we always get up and turn off the lamp and then we rock him.  As soon as I started rocking him, Trigger sat up and said, “an gace” which is usually how his says Anna Grace (my niece…his cousin).  So I said, “Anna Grace”.  Then, to clarify, he said, “sing…an gace”.  OHHHH…”you want me to sing Amazing Grace” .  And he said, “uhhh-huhh”.  So I sang three verses of Amazing Grace and just rocked that sweet boy.  Maybe he will share our love for hymns!  Oh how I just cherish those sweet moments!!!

I have to add this as well.  Matt was trying to fix our air because it had gone out.   So Campbell was laying on Trigger’s big boy bed while I read/rocked Trigger.  After singing and rocking, I picked Trigger up and went to put him in his crib.  He usually grabs a pacifier and lays down.  This time, he was concerned about Campbell and sat up and kept saying his name.  I reassured him that I was going to get Campbell.  Trigger just continued to sit up and watch me leave the room.  He told me night night and love you.  We didn’t hear a peep out of him.  I LOVE, LOVE that I can just leave him in his crib and he will just lay down and go to sleep on his own.

That’s pretty much our day around here.  It’s chaotic and most of the time the house is a WRECK…like 99% of the time! but it’s so fun and our boys are such a blessing. If you are friends with me on facebook, you probably read about all the crazy things that Trigger gets into…When, I post those things, I’m not complaining.  We tried REALLY, REALLY hard to get pregnant with both of our boys and then we had difficult pregnancies with both…and NICU stays with BOTH.  So we are VERY, VERY thankful for our crazy, hectic life!

One more thing, at some point in our day, we usually have a naked little boy running around our house.  But of course, even when naked, you need accessories and the perfect pair of shoes!
