PROGRESS!!!!!

It’s been a busy, busy three weeks!!!!  Especially since we have had sick boys too….however, we have only had one day that we have to go to Liz’s for naps and that was because we didn’t have electricity…and as you know, we can’t survive without electricity…no electricity means NO sound machines. :)IMG_1274IMG_1278

Larry Tollar did our dirt work and he was AWESOME!!!  He did make me a little nervous with his bulldozer getting a little close to our house!

We had to bring in a pump truck to get the concrete in because we have so many trees and our house is on a big slope.  IMG_1282IMG_1283IMG_1284

IMG_1349Trigger and Campbell have loved watching the men working.  Trigger knows which room is his…however, he has told me he doesn’t want dirt on the floor in his room (when it didn’t have concrete yet) and then he told me that he wanted a roof in his room…I think he is really concerned that we are going to put him out there before it’s finished.  He did go lay down and say that this was his bed.  Haha!IMG_1351

This is the master closet…do you see the little boy sitting on the slab…he was in time out! ;)

Our House

I took these pictures the night before they started the dirt work at our house.  I want to make sure I document all of the steps…I realize that most of you will be bored so feel free to not read.  Oh and please excuse our flower beds…we have completely let them go because the deer love them AND because we are redoing most of them after the addition is done!IMG_1241IMG_1242IMG_1244IMG_1245IMG_1247IMG_1249

Now lets move on to some of the progress they have made in the last 3 weeks.

Houston Trip 2011

WARNING: these pictures are not really in order…it’s about to throw this OCD girl into a tailspin…but I’m just going to post and stop looking at it!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s always fun to go to Houston with my family.  We started this before a couple of years before Trigger was born.  It started out as a surprise for Daddy on his 50th birthday.  We have all attempted to go each year…they only year we didn’t go was the year Trigger was born but nobody ended up going because a hurricane came through and so the trip was cancelled.  My dad has season ticket so they go to Houston ALL the time.  They always stay at The Inn at the Ballpark.  It’s right across from the stadium.  My parents are good friends with the hotel manager (chris z), the chef (oscar), and the cafĂ© manager (chris b).  They always so kind to us when we all go.  When we arrived, this sign was out by the front door.

Houston Hood Trip 2011 021The boys LOVED the phones in the room and fought over them constantly!Houston Hood Trip 2011 019We went to games Friday and Saturday night.  My dad got us all tickets in the Insperity club which is SO awesome because you have a lot of room, nice movie theater seats, and FOOD.  With children, it is THE best.  We had someone waiting on us, cleaning up after us (that poor guy), and we had plenty of room to move around and let the children stand in front of us without worrying they would pull some lady’s hair!  We took a family picture on the first night because Deanna flew out Saturday to go to the LSU game.   Just for fun, I’m going to list everyone:
