Trigger’s Christmas Program

Trigger got to sing for the older men and women at Trinity.  It was a very short program but oh so cute.  The funny thing was that Trigger kept telling me that he was going to sing Rudolph by himself…”that’s what Miss Wisa said”.  I kept trying to prepare him that he was not singing by himself and that it was okay for his friends to sing too.  I could just see a screaming fit when he broke out in song and his friends joined in.  However, it all turned out just fine.

This is his shy and a little intimidated look.

IMG_2073Then, this was his face when he saw momma and daddy. ;)IMG_2074IMG_2077

Aren’t they all just adorable.  I love watching Trigger interact with his peers at school…and love these performances!!!!

Mt. Mariah Christmas

Each year, we go to Matt’s parents church (Mt. Mariah) in Arcadia for a Christmas program and a special visitor.  IMG_1963Campbell was a little sleepy!IMG_1968I wasn’t sure how Campbell would react…Trigger, when he was Campbell’s age, screamed.  I kind of assumed that Campbell would react the same way…however, he did NOT…he just studied Santa.  He is definitely not happy about Santa but no tears!IMG_1971IMG_1974IMG_1978Trigger told Santa, “I wanna choo-choo that goes round and round and a black truck like daddys”.  What he meant was that he wanted a Thomas the Train that was battery operated and a motorized black Ford truck.IMG_1982IMG_1984When it was Campbell’s turn, he did not even look Santa’s direction…it was like he was purposefully looking the other direction.  IMG_1991Then, I said, “Campbell, who has you?” and he looked up…and gave Santa a not so nice look.IMG_1994Yep…look at that face…doesn’t it just scream “im so happy”.  HAHA!!!  I just love that little boy!IMG_1995After he got back in his seat, he kept peering around the pew to see Santa.IMG_1999Me and my sweet Trigger!!!  Love him…He’s holding his Porkchop (from Toy Story) but he calls it his “porkchalk”  Love it!IMG_2010And by this time, it was REALLY late!!! and Campbell was SOOO tired!IMG_2016IMG_2020The boys love their cousin, Corbin!IMG_2023And of course I tried to get a picture of my two boys…and this was as good as I could get!IMG_2028

Boys- December

In the beginning of December, our family participated with our church Temple in hanging bells on the doors of houses in Ruston.  We were assigned our neighborhood and Old Wire Road.  I was so excited that we were getting to do this.  It’s a great ministry.  Not only do you hang the bells but you also have the opportunity to take a second and pray for each of the people that live in that house…how awesome is that!  We drive past the houses in our neighborhood all the time, but I can’t say that I pray for the people living in the houses when I pass by them daily.  This just gives you the opportunity to do that!  It was nice to be able to include Trigger too.  He had a great time!!!!IMG_1897IMG_1899IMG_1900IMG_1901Im not sure when these were taken but aren’t they cute…and I love these football outfits!IMG_1904IMG_1906IMG_1914

Thanksgiving

I have seriously gotten so bad about not taking pictures!!!  On Thanksgiving, I took a total of SIX pictures!  Pathetic, huh?  I think I just go through periods of time when I don’t want to haul my camera around…especially when I was big and pregnant.

For Thanksgiving, we did our normal activities!  We celebrated with Matt’s family Wednesday at supper.  Then, we went to my grandmother’s for Thursday supper.

Trigger and Josiah (my cousin’s, kim, oldest child).  They are wearing Papaw’s hats that are still hanging on the wall.  AND, they are playing with these horses, cowboys, and indians that are ANCIENT!  IMG_1891And, of course, Campbell is piled up in Zizzy’s lap!  He is a little cuddler! ;)IMG_1894

Go Fishin

The boys LOVE this Go Fishing game.  I have to keep it up high or they will bring it down and lose the fish within seconds.  However, if supervised just a little, they can play with this little game for awhile.  Oh and they just happened to have on their matching fish outfits…don’t they look so cute.  They are from the Red Beans collection…my cousin has a party every year and I have loved these outfits that we ordered!IMG_1832IMG_1835

Trigger’s Thanksgiving Program

Trigger is at Trinity Preschool this year.  He LOVES it.  They had a little Thanksgiving program and feast.  This was Trigger’s first time to sing in front of an audience.  I was curious to see how he would do.  I was quite impressed.  He did NOT sing AT ALL!  He just stood there.  But I was just impressed that he didn’t yell and scream OR refuse to get on the risers.  After the program was over, they had a little feast.  They were so cute!  The funny thing is that all of these children really ate their food.  When I taught Pre-K, the children never ate so I was expecting that Trigger wouldn’t eat.  He gobbled up most everything on his plate!

When I looked back at the pictures after the program, I realized that Trigger was the only one without face paint.  I never had a chance to ask his teacher but I’m guessing that he refused (or maybe even threw a fit).  I’m guessing that it’s a texture thing because he does not like things on his face.

IMG_1774I forgot to mention that Trigger did decide that it was a good time to pick his nose RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROGRAM…I’m such a proud momma! ;)IMG_1777IMG_1782IMG_1783IMG_1790Aunt Vanna and Reid came to watch. IMG_1794IMG_1799IMG_1804Each child made a feather for their class turkey.  Triggers feather is on the far right.  I cut up scraps of fabric and ribbon and yarn and he glued it all down.  I thought it turned out pretty cute!IMG_1806IMG_1808Trigger wouldn’t really cooperate to take a picture with Miss Lisa.IMG_1814

Random Post to Try and Catch up

Okay…so I’m obviously really far behind on my posts.  I am going to try to catch up quickly but we all know how I am and I’m not good with summarizing…I’ll try my best!!

Well…ive already failed because I had a hard time weeding through these pictures.  This is what’s happening.  Campbell and Trigger pretty much like to play with the same things at the same time…sooo, someone is usually screaming.   This particular time, they BOTH wanted to ride the motorized tractor.  We offered the little ride on for Campbell to use while waiting on Trigger to get off the big tractor…ummmm, that did NOT work!  Somehow I ended up getting a lot of pictures of Campbell crying but let me reassure you, Trigger pretty much acted the same way when it was Campbell’s turn to ride!

IMG_1676IMG_1677IMG_1679IMG_1689Below: Trigger is trying to keep Campbell from riding.IMG_1696The hilarious thing is that Campbell can’t even drive the big tractor…his foot wont reach the pedal.  Matt came up with a brilliant way to help Campbell to ride.  He used a pvc pipe to push the pedal.IMG_1698IMG_1701Sometimes Daddy has a hard time keeping up.  HAHA!IMG_1710IMG_1737IMG_1742
