More Playset FUN!

I don’t have much to say on this post EXCEPT that Trigger is LOVING the playset…Trigger- outside time with Momma 130

On the days that Trigger is home with me, I always try to spend a little quality time with just him.  Usually Trigger wakes up from  his nap before Campbell does…and when this happens, I like to walk down to the mailbox to check the mail with Trigger.  He LOVES to get the “paper” and then we walk across together to get the mail.  It’s not that long of a walk down our driveway but it’s just enough to give us a little time to talk!  I love these little moments that we share together!

Happy birthday, zizzy! (yesterday)

Oh my goodness. I could go on and on for days about how wonderful Liz is. She is such a servant and helps us out constantly with the kids or cleaning or whatever we need. And, never takes time for herself. Liz is a very special person! Trigger absolutely adores his zizzy. He usually asks to go to zizzys at least once a day! And I'm sure Campbell will love his zizzy just as much as trigger! Here is a picture of zizzy and three of the five of her grandchildren. This is at lunch at Log Cabin with Mamaw, Vanna and Reid, Karen, me, and the people pictured below! I'll share more pictures from the day when I'm actually on my computer!

Daddy Time

Matt is such a good daddy!  He walks into the door to absolute chaos each and every day!  He grabs a child and runs with it EVERY single day and I am soooo thankful for the moment he steps through that door.  Trigger and Campbell adore their daddy!  Trigger loves to wrestle with Matt in the evenings…and lately, he LOVES to play hide and seek after we are done with supper.  Campbell just loves for his daddy to hold him…Campbell is a snuggler and LOVES, LOVES to be held!!!

ANother thing Matt is really good at…which is not normal for a dad…is that he is constantly teaching Trigger…He counts with him, helps him recognize colors, etc.  Matt also reads to both of the boys!!!

Trigger- outside time with Momma 188 Trigger- outside time with Momma 192 Reading is sooo wonderful for children and I am so thankful that Trigger LOVES to read!  Matt puts Trigger down every night and I put Campbell down.  I hate that I don’t get to spend that time with Trigger at night but for now, it’s what works since they both go to bed at the same time…and Matt can’t feed Campbell! Ha!!  Mr. Independent likes to read himself…which I think is great!  He holds the book and “reads” (has parts memorized on each page).  I think it’s amazing how much he picks up on in the books he reads!  To be such a rambunctious boy, it’s odd…but I find him about once a day in front of his bookcase reading books!  I LOVE it..because I love to read when I have time.  I hope Campbell develops a love for reading too!

Oh and here is a couple of pictures of Trigger hiding and waiting on his daddy to find him.

In this moment...right now...I am sitting in my den with my feet propped up AND my sweet hubby is doing the same! I have completely rearranged triggers room and the playroom. Neither are complete. I need to finish painting shelves and glaze them. I have to move out our filing cabinet along with several other things. Then, maybe the playroom will be complete. I'm ready to actually hang some pictures on the walls...trigger and Campbells masterpieces of course!
Triggers room looks good but I need to make his headboard. He's getting new potterybarn bedding from my parents for Christmas...the bedding that I JUST bought, I don't like. Imagine that! Anyway, once I get that and decide if I like the Room arrangement, I can hang pictures
Anyway, im not tackling any of those things right Now. What i am doing is relaxing! We are taking the boysthis afternoon to Have cake and celebrate zizzys bday.

From my iphone

I just downloaded an app so I can blog from my phone and not from my bulky computer...let's see if this works!
Here's my sweet boy...ready for school a few weeks ago! Love what he has on! He's getting so big. In fact, this morning I dressed him in a nativity smocked jonjon and realized that this is it. We will finish out the winter and then move on to pants and button ups. Typing that makes me want to just cry. Where has my baby gone to...wasn't it just yesterday that he was that little 4lb baby craddled in my arms. I just don't understand how time moves this fast. It stresses me out...am I doing the right things, am I taking time to enjoy the everyday moments, etc. I just want to freeze time bc these days with this age children is just PErFECT. I feel like I do when I read a good book and get to the half way mark. I start to get a little depressed bc I don't want to come to the end...thats how I feel with our children. I dont want them to grow up!
Whew...didn't mean to get off on that. Anyway, Campbell and I are at home while matt and trigger are at church. I took Campbell to the dr last minute yesterday...like we checked in at 10:57 and they close at 11...yep, I'm now one of THOSE people. Anyway, campbell went to the dr about two weeks ago for congestion and he told us that it was just a virus that would last 7-10 days. Well it's been over 10 and he's still not better and is actually worse. Soooo...I took him and he has and ear infection in his left ear...and maybe the right. She couldn't tell his right bc of ear wax and since she was giving him an antibiotic for the left one, there was no need to do the ear wash! Sooo...campbell is napping, I'm playing with my new app and not using my time wisely so I guess I will go get ready for the day!

Cheap Entertainment

Trigger LOVES to ride around in our laundry basket…i mean who didn’t do that as a child?!?!  The other night I put Campbell in the basket with Trigger for the first time.  I think he liked it.  Of course we had to take a few pictures!!!Trigger and Campbell in Laundry basket 096

I love that we can share these simple little everyday joys together as a family.  I’m trying to savor each and every moment while I have these two precious boys!!!  I have a hard time stopping and “smelling the roses” sometimes…especially when the house is a wreck and their is a MOUNTAIN of laundry covering my king size bed!  I’m trying though!!!

Campbell Laughing

This morning I dropped Trigger off at MDO.  He was a little clingy this morning.  Trigger has come sooo far this year.  He doesn’t cry when I drop him off anymore but he ALWAYS asks to “hold my hand, mama” as soon as we get in the door (and I LOVE IT!  I can just hear that sweet voice asking me right now).  I have made it a habit to NOT carry him in because I know that will create more of a problem when we get to his room.  Anyway, after I dropped him Campbell and I headed to Liz’s to pick her up (with a Sonic stop on the way).  The three of us headed to Monroe to do a little Christmas shopping.  Campbell was great but we had to hold him alot…he is getting HEAVY!

When we got back to Ruston, we ran to Temple to get Trigger.  Then, we headed to The Children’s Shoppe to look for the boys some Sunday outfits which let me say that I have been so disappointed lately in what they have in stock.  It seems that every time I go in there, their stock of boys clothes gets smaller and smaller.  One of the girls told us today that they aren’t getting as much smocked/appliqued outfits because not as many people dress their little boys like that…MY WORD!  I find that HARD to believe since everyone that has boys that I know, dresses their child in cute outfits.  It’s just really hard to find nice church outfits for them now…and I am not dressing Campbell in pants and a button-up…I don’t even do that for Trigger yet!

After the children’s shoppe, we made a quick stop by my dad’s office to pick up something.  Then, we went to Sonic to get Trigger a slush for taking a nap at school…then, took Liz home.  Then, fed Campbell.  After all that I was EXHAUSTED so I fixed a really easy supper!!!  While cooking, I put Campbell in the jumperoo to play for a few minutes (he was exhausted too and REALLy wanted to be held).  Trigger was INTO EVERYTHING…right after I just complemented him on how he was doing better about not getting into everything!  Haha!!!  Anyway, I was stirring something on the stove and Campbell started rolling laughing…he was looking past me so i turned to see what he was laughing at…IT WAS TRIGGER.  Campbell was laughing at Trigger…Trigger was throwing his build-a-bear reindeer in the air and letting it hit the floor.  “Jim” (that’s the reindeer’s name) and Trigger were putting on a show and Campbell LOVED it!!!  I got a little bit of it recorded on my iphone.  Please ignore my annoyingly loud voice!

Aren’t baby laughs just the GREATEST!!!!
