Big Brothers

Big brothers are there to show you the ropes…and teach you all kinds of fun stuff!  Trigger has definitely hopped right on into that roll!  The other day I was in the kitchen cleaning and overheard Trigger talking to Campbell.  When I looked to see what he was doing, this is what I saw…Trigger was teaching Campbell how to use his toy.  Trigger had Campbell’s  hand and was showing how to push the button.  It was the SWEETEST thing!!!

And then Trigger decided he would share his hat too…which is a big deal!!!

Afterwards, Trigger read a book to Campbell!

I love these moments when Trigger is being so sweet to Campbell!!!  I know these two are going to be BEST FRIENDS!!!!

MY favorite Gown

I love this gown…matt likes to call it pjs because that’s more manly but let’s face it, it’s a gown!…This is one of the only things that I have that has Campbell’s initials on it.  SAD, but true.  I guess he is TRULY a second child.  Anyway, i love the colors because it is blue and red…GO DAWGS!  It almost doesn’t fit this TALL boy anymore so I to do a quick little photo session with it on!

And the appearance of Trigger!  Isn’t this such typical behavior from the older child while the younger one is getting attention! (and look at Campbell trying to grab Trigger’s toes)

And my FAVORITES:  his sleepy fingers!!!!

Guilty

Part of being a mom, I have found, is that you constantly feel guilty about something.  Well, recently, my guilt  has been that I don’t take enough pictures of Campbell like I did of Trigger when he was this age…I mean we have albums and albums of Trigger’s first year.  After that first year, I do NOT have a single picture printed out.  RIDICULOUS.  Soooo, I decided to have a quick little photo shoot of Campbell.

Look who appeared almost immediately!  Can we say JEALOUS because Trigger will NOT cooperate to take pictures…so I take pictures of just Campbell and he comes a-runnin!

ANd, look who showed up again.  Haha!

 

Matt took these of me and Campbell…I HATE, HATE that they turned out blurry…please someone tell me how to fix that on my camera~!  I still love the pictures though!

My other reason for taking these pictures is that this was Campbell’s first time to wear jeans AND his first time to wear a ralph lauren polo.  And it may not happen again for awhile because he looked WAY too old!

Our NEW stroller

Okay..so this is absolutely pathetic that I am writing a post about our new stroller…in fact, it SCREAMS motherhood and a boring life.  BUT, I’m here to tell you that I expect great things will come now that I own a double stroller…SHOPPING trips will be a breeze now.  HAHAHA!  Ok…so really I don’t think they will be a breeze but it will be ALOT easier to stroll both boys that to chase Trigger will strolling Campbell OR holding Campbell while pushing Trigger OR taking two strollers.  To me, it’s a necessity! 

So, without further adieu, here it it…the stroller that is going to CHANGE MY LIFE!

What’s that you say?  You want to see a side view…we’ll it just so happens that I have a side view picture available for your viewing pleasure (PRAISE THE LORD the doors were shut to the playroom).   Okay…so let me explain…well first, I have NO explanation for what those two boys are wearing…I’m assuming there were several wardrobe changes for both throughout the day OF STAYING HOME AND GOING NO WHERE…or maybe their daddy dressed them!  either way, i do not approve! :) …so anyway, As I was putting the stroller together and Matt was doing some decorating for Christmas, Trigger was “helping” me, and I was trying to make a really big deal about how great the stroller was…you know, so he’d feel special riding in it!  I showed him how there was a place for snack and a place for a cup…so after I finished, Matt called me into the foyer.  Trigger had crawled up into the stroller.  He apparently was very excited about the new purchase.  Then, he demanded that he have a snack and some water for the empty cup holder and tray!  And, well, since I was taking pictures, I decided to put Campbell in the stroller too!

Campbell’s First Thanksgiving

I hate to say it but I don’t have alot of pictures of Campbell’s first Thanksgiving.  Sorry, Campbell! I was too busy chasing Trigger OR holding/feeding Campbell.  We did our normal thing for Thanksgiving…lunch with the Woodard crew and supper with the Hoods.  It was fun getting to see everyone…but WHEW are our families getting LARGE!!!

  I love this picture below of the Woodard cousins (minus Campbell).  Trigger absolutely adores his cousins…and I’m sure Campbell will too!

We have so much to be thankful for in our house.  Since last Thanksgiving, we have added Campbell to our family and I am OH SOOOOO THANKFUL for that precious baby!!!  I’m also thankful for Trigger (of COURSE) and my sweet, loving husband who is VERY close to perfect!  We are very blessed! 

Attempt #2 at a Christmas Photo

A couple of weekends ago I decided to take some pictures of the boys…I wanted to see if I could get a good picture for our Christmas card.  HAHAHAHA!!!!  First, Trigger wanted to wear that scarf…it happens to be “Jim” the Build-a-Bear Reindeer’s scarf…thankfully, it sortof coordinated BUT a little too much!  Let’s just say that I am NOT using any photos from this photo shoot for our card.  Our cards should come in the mail tomorrow.  We had the same guy do them that has done our cards/announcements for awhile now.  I love how easy he is to work with…and I also love using the same person over and over again…it makes me feel all loyal and warm and fuzzy.  :)

Trigger thinks that when I take pictures of him and Campbell, that he needs to kiss his head.  We started that the first couple of times I took pictures of them and it has stuck!~

And the bribe of a cookie only went so far with Trigger, and the meltdown started!!!

Annnnnd the photo shoot was over!  Trigger was asking for his cookie, Campbell was irritated by his brother, and on and on and on…so Mr. Independent took  his scarf and headed for the door.
