All BOY!!!

Everytime Trigger is outside, he runs over (or points if he's in the car) to Matt's four-wheeler and says, "Dada...Dada....ri...ri..ri...ri". The translation: I want someone to take me on the fourwheeler NOW! He loves riding on it. It's finally gotten warm enough again to take him for a ride. So the other day I told Trigger that as soon as Daddy got home, he could ride with Daddy. Here are a few photos from their ride. It's funny to me how serious he is the whole time...he loves it but he doesn't smile with glee. strange?!

Well...i fell asleep in the middle of making this post. I think i said everything and uploaded the correct pictures...im not sure what is up with me today. I am worn slap out...TIRED and WEAK. I do have Trigger today because Matt's mom is sick so maybe that's part of it...who knows...but Trigger is still asleep so I'm gonna take advantage of these last few minutes!

Update

Sooo for those you that are on pins and needles...I passed my glucose test with FLYING colors. I had the fruit punch flavored drink and it wasn't horrible...wasn't good either! I was having a hard time finished the last few sips. I looked out into the lobby to distract myself for a minute. I noticed an elderly woman sitting and waiting to be called to the lab. She had an oxygen pump. I was completely taken by this picture...ME sitting there young and pretty healthy and having a hard time drinking a stupid drink. It got me to thinking about all the horrible medical treatments/proceedures people have to go through when the are seriously ill. Like I know when my mom had cancer, she had to drink that chalk stuff before a certain test on her stomach...YUCK. Or the fact that she had chemo...
YEP...after all that raced through my mind, I downed those last few sips..soo very thankful to be drinking a flat, fruit-flavored drink instead of being faced with something worse!
After drinking the YUMMY drink, I had to sit for an hour. I had my blood drawn for the second time. Then, ran (actually drove...a child in my class always questions if I am really going to "run to the bathroom"...so now I think about that everytime I use that expression!) to walmart to get a few necessities. Went back to Green Clinic at 10...and got called back early since my appt wasn't until 1045! Guess that's what it's like to be early somewhere...i kindof liked it! Dr. Harper told me that I wasn't going back to work right now. I'm still not on strict bedrest but I can't go to work....so if you see me out and about, Dr. Harper has approved it! Just not work stress!!!! but for the most part, I am lying low at home and trying to rest up since it will be the LAST rest I get for a VERY, VERY, VERY long time!
I think that will be all for now...but, let me make one last statement. Dr. harper is fabulous. He's probably not for everyone but I truly think we are one and the same...and "get" each other. He puts up with my OCD! so I am so thankful for him!

Daddy's Little Helper

Trigger loves to help his daddy! We are in the LONG process of changing our office into a playroom...we don't really need an office because Matt and I both have laptops that we keep beside our bed. And we have a wireless printer but it's located on top of my armoir in the office/playroom soooo it's out of the way of little hands! Anyway, we will keep my armoire with craft/art supplies AND our bookcase...and the reason we have to keep that in there would be because my sweet husband NEEDS to have quick access to those books that are on there!!! But, the rest of the room will be lined with shelving units that will house most of Trigger's toys!!! I am not naive...he will not play in there...but that's not the point. I need somewhere to put all these toys. In the pictures below, Trigger is helping Matt move my armoire. I'm telling you that that piece of furniture is by far THE heaviest I have EVER owned. And wouldn't you know that it is the piece that has been moved the MOST! Sorry, Matthew!
I wanted Matt to move it across the room but the kicker: I refused to unload anything in it...after all, I am suppose to be taking it easy...Right? haha. Soooo...like a good husband, he did what I asked. As he was straining to push it...seriously, it's very heavy!!!! Trigger comes over and starts pushing on it too...just like his daddy! So sweet that he wanted to help him.

Then, I forgot to measure to make sure the armoire was going to fit...OOPS. So Matt decided we needed to measure. What did he use to measure? Trigger's tape measure. HILARIOUS!

Well, by the time this is posted, I should be finished with my glucose test. I am scheduled to have it done this morning. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK! This is something that I dread because I gag REALLY easily! Sooo...hopefully I survived!!! Also, I have my appt with Dr. Harper at 10. The big question issss....Work OR no work?

Oh how I LOVE days like these!

Trigger was at his Izzy's house this day. She had asked me to come over to help Trigger paint a picture for her to hang in their playroom. When I got to their house at 2ish, Trigger was outside with his Izzy and Mamaw. It was a beautiful day and he was having the best time running and exploring. Eventually, he discovered the creek in the back. He found a hoe and thought it was fun to splash the water. I, being the fun mom that I am, let him reach in the water and splash. Then, I had the thought...why not just let him get in? He had extra clothes in his backpack...I had looked for snakes and other creatures...and they had probably long since been scared off from all the splashing. AND, my brother and I LIVED in that creek when we were growing up. Soooo IN HE WENT. He loved it!!!!!

When he was done playing in the creek, I striped him down outside and took him to the kitchen sink for a little bath. We changed clothes...and then on to our next FIRST! He painted. Of course I left him naked because why would I put clothes on a toddler that is about to paint. haha.. He had the best time. I wish I had a picture of his finished product but he painted using all different colors. When he was finished, I painted his hands black and put them in the center of his masterpiece. It looks sooo cute hanging in Izzy's playroom.
Oh and once he saw me paint his hands, he felt it was necessary to paint his hands too...and his arm...and his face...and his belly. BUT, he had a great time!

This day was a FUN day...filled with lots of firsts!!!!

Another Accident

Well...today we just had to go outside because it was so beautiful.. I had already planned it before Trigger got home. I was going to take out a few of the riding toys that we have kept inside because of cold weather. And, I took a blanket outside for me to sit on...hahaha...sit...no such thing when you have Trigger around! And of course, I had my camera too. We had only been outside for a few minutes when Trigger decided to ride his John Deere tractor. We have a downhill driveway...and I have always known that it was going to present problems with children...like playing basketball and the ball rolling all the way to the bottom of the driveway. :) Anyway, Trigger started down the hill...he was only letting himself go a little and then would stop himself with his feet and he was laughing!!!

Well, apparently Trigger lost control between picture one (above) and picture two (below).

His legs were up, the tractor out of control headed toward the road, he was screaming, and this pregnant momma was sprinting after him. Well, the tractor went off the driveway and flipped when he ran into a little tree....he was screaming louder than I have ever heard him scream....i'm still sprinting and yelling at him that he was okay. Oh my word! I pulled the tractor off of him and swept him into my arms to inspect every body part like any good momma would do. He was fine except for some scratches on his forehead...and those didn't look that bad at first. However, they did look pretty bad by the time his daddy got home. Trigger settled down pretty quickly (like seconds) and wanted down and BACK ON HIS TRACTOR AGAIN!!!! Well...i guess it didn't scare him too bad!
Here's a close up of his scratch.

Here are a few more from our outside time...

I almost forgot...our accident preoccupied me a little bit. HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY! Of course I didn't go to school today so I missed out on the fun of trying to catch the leprachaun. :( I think this is my first time in 7 years to miss out on the adventure...SAD! However, since I didn't have to go to work. I had the chance to spoil Trigger a little bit. Obviously he had a green shirt on...didn't want him to get pinched by his grandparents...haha! His breakfast started out with green grapes...loves green grapes...EXCEPT today...he decided they were the worst thing he'd ever tasted and would have nothing to do with them. HA! Then, he had some GREEN EGGS...YES he did, Sam I am!!! And he liked them!!! actually he LOVED THEM!!!!

ANNNNDDDD, what is a day in our house without a little corner time. Getting in the dishwasher, refusing to listen, etc...so off to the corner he went...he was actually upset this time...no pretend counting or tapping his fingers this time. And, NO, I did not put those boots with that outfit...but he loves those dang boots.

Please pray for us tomorrow...we are headed to Shreveport to see DR. Jones, our MFM (maternal fetal medicine) specialists. It's just for our checkup and I don't expect there to be any breaking news but you NEVER know...when we went to the dr. at 32 weeks with Trigger, we were expecting to be released to RUston and found ourselves walking over to the hospital to check in for the duration. Soooo...I try not to have many expectations!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from my little Leprachaun!!!

First Underwear AND the outhouse!

Trigger so bad wanted to go outside this past weekend. However, he was walking around with a shirt, diaper, and rainboots....he looked precious but I am NOT a fan of the bare diaper! Soooo...I put him in a pair of big boy underwear just so I could take some pictures of him with his boots on. BTW, it was very warm outside!! Soooo...off we went. Does he not look just adorable in underwear?! He was a little confused about what he had on. And, of course, I was worried that he was going to tee-tee on himself so I told him he needed to try to tee-tee...we pulled down his underwear and I let him go in the grass. Well, he thought that was just GREAT. And wanted to tee-tee several times while we were outside! Here are a few pictures from our adventure. And, don't worry...I photoshopped the pictures so that we don't have any parts showing...didn't think Trigger would like that 10 years from now! :)

Keep checking back because as soon as I get Liz's camera card, I will have some great pictures to share....Trigger has gotten into some adventures at Izzy's lately!!!

Playing Outside

I think this could be the title for the next few posts because Trigger LOVES, LOVES, LOVES being outside. I think he would live outside if we would let him. Here are a few shots from a couple of two weekends ago. And you will notice that he is ALL boy because he loves sticks!

Different subject: I have decided to try and find out a little bit about my mom's side of the family. None of my mom's family (or at least the people I know) aren't alive to answer any of my questions...and of course those of you that know me, know that I am very nosey and VERY curious! Soooo...I thought I would try to see what I can find. One of the things I want to find out is what happened to my grandfather's parents. He (with siblings...don't know how many) were put in the Methodist children's home here in Ruston when they were little. We'll see....if you have any search tips, please leave a comment!
