Campbell’s First Day of School

My baby boy started school a couple weeks after Trigger.  He went to mother’s day out last year at Trinity.  This year, Campbell is attending Trinity’s 3 year old Preschool program.  Trigger went to 3 and 4 year old preschool at Trinity and we could not have been more pleased with their curriculum.  It really was a perfect stepping stone to Cedar Creek Pre-K.  I feel certain that Campbell’s experience will be wonderful too.  Since I had made the poster for Trigger, I had to make one for Campbell.  I LOVE that he wants to be a baseball player when he grows up.  IMG_5538BY the way, this child may act all shy and quiet, he is actually pretty loud and very comical at home….as you can tell from the facial expressions. IMG_5540IMG_5543IMG_5545IMG_5551Larkin thought she wanted to be in the pictures..but quickly changed her mind.IMG_5555Of course we had to take a picture by the sign.IMG_5558As soon as we got to school that day, Miss Priss hopped down and plopped herself down in a chair and started coloring. REALLY?!?!  Maybe I should’ve signed her up for MDO.  Ha!IMG_5560My little boy in his classroom.  IMG_5562I just love their classrooms…they look like something out of a catalog.  Dramatic play even has a table that is set with plates, cups, and forks/spoons.  It’s just filled with perfect little centers.  AND, not that this has anything about learning….because it doesn’t, I love all the exposed brick.  IMG_5563

We are looking forward to another awesome year at Trinity!!!

Our Saturday

about a month ago, we took the kids to monroe.  I don’t remember why we did that now.  anyway, we hopped in the car and ran over to monroe early.  We took the kids to eat at IHOP which was YUMMY!  Then, we went to Target.  For some reason, Matt told the kids they could pick a toy.  They never ends well.  Campbell is our decisive one and picks his toy in seconds.  Trigger, on the other hand, takes literally FOREVER to chose a toy.  He will pick something and we will start walking away and he loses it.  REPEAT.  REPEAT!! REPEAT!!!!!  So, after long debates over which was the best toy, Trigger AND Campbell both chose Ninja turtle swords which was a grand idea until someone agreed to open them to play with them on the way home.  ;)IMG_4153I got larkin out of the buggy to let her pick a toy.  I was showing her different things.  I turned for a second to say something to matt and turned  back around to see this.  Miss priss had filled the buggy with things that she wanted!  HA!IMG_4156Larkin got a crown and some bracelets and a necklace! IMG_4157While the kids slept, I cleaned out the closet in our laundry room….which holds all of my craft junk.  It’s still not organized the way I would like but at least it’s a little better.  I feel like I haven’t ever had a chance to get things the way I wanted them.  We moved into our addition just weeks before Larkin was born and it  has been a whirlwind ever since.   Maybe when everyone is in school, I can start going through and organizing.IMG_4158Speaking of organizing.  I was sick and tired of the school piles that happened every school year.  I decided to put an end to it.  this file box stays on my counter in our laundry room.  We empty folders in the afternoon and immediately file away artwork/school papers/notes from the teacher/calendars/newsletters.  It is working great so far!IMG_4160

Pee-Poo

Little miss Larkin LOVES to play Peek-a-boo.  However, she calls it Pee-poo!!!  I love those sweet little hands covering her face!IMG_4092Larkin is OBSESSED with phones.   I even let her sleep (nap) with her iphone (matt’s old phone) the other day.  Isn’t that awful?!?  I find myself in lots of survival mode situations lately!  ha!IMG_4104AND, someone LOVES LOVES to throw fits!IMG_4118

And that about sums things up for Larkin.

Bubble Bath

Rubba-dub-dub…three children in the tub!  I love three little children in the bath…makes me happy to hear the giggling.IMG_5497IMG_5498IMG_5501That’s t’s angry face…we see it more than we would like.  hahaha!IMG_5519

Just like all children, mine LOVE bathtime and LOVE bubbles.  It’s messy and I feel like Matt and I are soaking wet, along with our walls and ceilings when we finish. BUT, some of the best things in life are messy!!!!

Campbell- Meet the teacher

Campbell is starting 3 year old preschool at Trinity.  This is a  bigger deal than their MDO program.  In fact, it is only a half day preschool with the option to pay for preschool plus to let them stay until 2pm.  It’s hard for me to believe that he is old enough.  It seems like trigger was just starting with Lisa at Trinity in the 3 yr program. Before school started, we got to meet Campbell’s teacher, Mrs. Tory.  Campbell wasn’t overly thrilled.  He isn’t my child that gets excited about going to school.  IMG_4138

Once we got there, he brightened up quite a bit because he saw all of Mrs. Tory’s toys.IMG_5490Campbell and Mrs. ToryIMG_5491I am so excited about this year.  I had many of Mrs. Tory’s students at Cedar Creek and they all learned SOOOO much!  We have been sooo pleased at Trinity Preschool…I just can’t say enough great things about their program.

And, because I feel like shes been a little neglected, I will post a few pictures of my little girl.  She loves…actually she is obsessed with…SHOES.  Which is great because this momma likes to buy her shoes!  In these  pictures, she has on Campbell’s church shoes.  IMG_4141IMG_4142IMG_4144I left my two little children for a few minutes and came back and they had gotten some of my good eye shadow and dug all of the color out…and most of it ended up on Campbell’s white shorts….glad I like a stain challenge!IMG_4145I leave you with a picture of this sweet girl, drinking her FAVORITE.  ICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.  We drive by a gas station and she starts shouting “Iceeeeee….Iceeeee”.  Hahaha… she is her mother’s child!IMG_4150

Campbell- 3 year appointment

I took Campbell to his three year old appointment.  And from the moment that I stepped into that office, I wondered why I had to be such a rule follower.  I mean, why didn’t I skip this appointment…there were no shots and we are there all of the time anyway.   BUT, I made the stupid appointment and we were there so we stayed.  It was packed and we waited forever.  I did have matt ask Campbell to draw a person before we went to see if he could do it…because honestly, I had no clue if he could.  well, this was his drawing.  I was highly impressed and a little confused bc I had NEVER seen a child draw the body and legs like that at this age…not even at Trigger’s age.  I accused Matt of doing it for him but he didn’t help.  Anyway, as a teacher, it intrigues me.  IMG_4014Soooo…we waited and waited and waited.IMG_4031ANNNNNND, all but licked the floors!  sighIMG_4032Dr. Slusher said Campbell looked great.  Here are his stats.

34 pounds (65%) and 37.5 inches (37%).

Campbell is getting so big.  He is probably one of the most ornery children I have ever met BUT is as cute as a bug!  He loves to play outside (would live out there), cut, play with trucks and tractors, playdough, reading books…and is obsessed with guns.  He is all boy!

Trigger- Teddy Bear Picnic

On Trigger’s first friday, he had a Teddy Bear Picnic.  He was quite excited…and so waas momma!  He had to take his bear, Super Teddy, to eat his picnic lunch with him.  It was really fun to prepare his teddy bear lunch.  PREK IS SOOOO MUCH FUN!IMG_4125
