life is so simple...

all you need is a bucket...who needs expensive toys?~!?
a bucket + daddy = FUN

Matt chasing Trigger around the den. He LOVED IT!

I thought this was precious (and pretty smart)...Matt was chasing Trigger down the hall. Trigger went into the laundry room to get away from him...he kept peeping around the corner to see if he was coming.

Annnnddd, Matt appeared so Trigger high-tailed it down the hall.

and I thought I would share a few pictures of another award winning toy: THE CARDBOARD BOX!

and on this same night Trigger ended up falling (IMAGINE THAT!!!!) into the door and his gums started bleeding ALOT! Honestly, he gets hurt so much that I had forgotten about this time...but we had the camera handy and took a picture of his bloody rag...i know we're weird.

I have so much catching up to do on blogging but it just takes so long to post pictures and i believe ALL posts should have pictures!!!!! I have pictures from this last weekend...trigger had a rough time: ant bites ALL over his arm and hand, bruise on forehead, scratch on forehead, and (THE WORST THING) he fell into our brick hearth on his cheekbone...I'll post more about it later. BUT, It was NOT a good weekend for T.

and this is what happens when you don't take your nap!

Like I said in an earlier post, we had church pictorial pictures last Thursday. Wednesday night was the first time I had thought about what we were all going to wear...next go round, I might think about it before the night before. I decided on a black cardigan...thank you, Stephanie for you sweet comments!
Trigger did NOT have good naps on Wednesday (actually, it seems like the NO napping seems to be the NORM since he has been staying with his grandparents...I don't think they are as harsh as I am...I will let him scream, and they won't!). Anyway, when he doesn't nap it makes my life a living nightmare in the evenings because he pretty much cries from the moment we get home until time to go to bed...AHHHHHH!
***by the way, Mrs. Haworth (my high school english teacher) would die if she read my blog! I do realize that I do not use ANY grammer rules when typing...I don't care to! I type what comes to my mind (how I would talk) and my brain doesn't use correct grammer nor does it use correct punctuation! sorry if this bothers you!***
Anyway, I came home Wednesday (and let me mention that Matt is gone to church on wednesday nights) and frantically searched for our outfits. This is what I decided for Trigger to wear. I LOVE this outfit. It's corduroy and precious! Liz gave it to him for Christmas last year..thinking that he would wear it in January/February. Well, it just now fits him!

He decided to get happy for a moment...who knows why? but he played with his toys for awhile and i snapped some shots~!

This is Trigger searching for something under his crib...i love when he looks under things...i just think it's cute!

And just a few more pics!

Ok..I'm home alone (with trigger but he's sleeping) so I'm off to watch a movie on the Hallmark channel. Matt is enjoying the Tech game with his dad! GO BULLDOGS! Hopefully T and I can make the next home game!
Oh and today Matt and I took Trigger to the Tech bookstore..it was his first time on Tech's campus so I took pics...hopefully I can blog them tomorrow.
P.S. The flu is spreading...make sure you are washing your hands. And if you think your sick, please stay home and don't spread your flu germs. Makes me so angry to see sick people out in public (esp. sick kids at school).
One more random thing while I'm on a roll, It makes me LIVID to see people parking in handicap spots when they are NOT handicap! It makes me even more mad when people abuse the use of a handicap sticker/tag and use it when they clearly do not need it any longer! Just a little ranting...sorry!
Night-night!

GO ASTROS!

My dad's birthday is on Sept. 1st and each year we all go for a weekend to houston. Last year we were not able to go because Trigger had just gotten out of the NICU...the trip got cancelled anyway because of a hurricane. My parents have season tickets to the Astros games so we always go to a couple of games and eat at Vic and Anthony's steakhouse (which is right by the hotel and ballpark). My parents go so much that they are friends with everyone at The Inn at the Ballpark. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, Trigger had a present waiting on him from the manager of The Inn. It was so sweet that she thought of leaving a present for him. This was his present.

He got a baseball picture frame, an astros giraffe, and a sweet note from Chris Z.

I thought this was pretty clever...my precious child is quite a high maintenance sleeper. I came up with the idea to make a divider out of pvc pipe so that Trigger couldn't see us if we had to get up to go to the bathroom or first thing in the morning. I have to say that I think it worked! We didn't leave it put up to transport it...we aren't complete rednecks! Matt said it looked like we were either building a bomb or repiping the bathroom. Haha.

Now, on to our annual family picture. We have t-shirts made each year.

And here are a few from the games. Trigger did pretty good considering the games started after his bedtime. He made it through ONE inning the first night and THREE innings.

The second night, before the game, we went to see and take pictures of Trigger's brick at the ballpark. His Poppy and Izzy bought him a brick when he was born. Abby and Sydney have one too and the Hood kids have one.

We arrived at The Inn on Friday afternoon and we left on Sunday morning. On our way out we stopped at the ballpark to take a few pictures on the big baseballs.

Oh, and Trigger did pretty good traveling too! PRETTY GOOD...and by that I mean, I handed him toys and he played with each one for about 30 seconds and then threw it down and screamed for another...over and over again. UNTIL...I gave him a little tylennol. Hey, don't judge me...Trigger was teething...i think...haha...no really he did cut three molars around that week.
Okay. Off to bed. I just spent about an hour and half looking through my closet to find something to wear for our church pictorial pictures. We take them tomorrow at 4:45. Now, WHY DIDN"T I THINK ABOUT THIS BEFORE TONIGHT...I will never KNOW why I wait to the very last second. and let me say that it is hard to coordinate three people so that we don't look like we are the circus come to town. My selections are limited because I have NO clothes...or at least no clothes without markers or paint stained on them. AND to top it off and narrow my selection even further, I have a huge bruise on my forearm...like almost as big as my palm. So, i will be wearing longsleeve. And Ive decided on a lovely plain black shirt...SHOCKER, I know!
seriously, I'm going to watch a little tv and little my brain rest. It's tired!

Trying to Catch UP!

So...life has been so crazy since school started. I've had NO time...no wait..that's not really true...i've had NO energy once I get home from school, get supper cooked, trigger bathed and in bed, clean up kitchen, and get Trigger's breakfast and lunch ready for the next day. Matt is just as busy as I am so it's just hectic. I actually didn't write this post to complain or whine. I just wanted to catch everyone up on pictures and what's been going on around the Woodard house!
We'll start with a few shots of a photo shoot from the end of summer. Trigger is wearing one of my favorite outfits.

Trigger has started walking. He took his first step the week before I went back to school. In the last week, Trigger has started walking EVERYWHERE...like all the way from the kitchen to his bedroom.

First, let me say that Trigger LOVES bananas. Well...one Saturday Matt and I were feeding Trigger at lunch time. I had put some bananas on his plate for him to eat. We all know how slippery bananas can be...My smart boy (not sure if this is actually a sign of a high IQ..but we'll go with it!) picked up his plate and started licking off the bananas! Matt and I laughed at him and so he continued!!!! :) Probably will regret those laughs later..haha!

And my patchwork plaid boys (too bad they aren't matching shorts)!

School news: I have an AWESOME class. My children are so sweet! I think its going to be a GREAT year! The flu has already started spreading and I haven't gotten my shot yet. I will get it on Monday at school. I really, really do NOT want the flu...not that anyone does! Let's just hope that the flu stays away from the Early Learning Center!!!!!
That's all for today...I still have our Astros trip pictures to post but I will ANOTHER day! I'm off to take a bath and iron clothes for tomorrow...HATE ironing clothes!!!!
