Old McDonald had a Farm...

E-I-E-I-O!
Last Saturday, Trigger went to his first friend birthday party. Mallory had her second birthday at Papa Simpson's Farm in Arcadia. I was thinking it was going to be miserably hot...and it was pretty hot but not miserable. Trigger had never been to a farm and I was curious to see how he reacted to the animals. He really liked them. Matt (and I) took about 350 pictures...WOW. Don't worry...I will not post all of them..mainly because it would take too long to upload them all.
Mrs. Susan and Trigger

Trigger wasn't really that hot but his cheeks were a little red!

Trigger petting the Lamb

Emma holding a goat while Trigger pet him/her.

And, Trigger gave the goat some LOVE..

Trigger loved the cows.

Enjoying his time on the farm!

Trigger was sooo funny riding the pony. He had a death grip on the horn.

Trigger went for a ride with Emma Pierce...I thought it was soooo precious that Emma held Trigger's hand...isn't she precious!
And he went for another ride. This poor boy (Brad's cousin) had to hold Trigger. He was so sweet with Trigger.

And the Birthday girl (Mallory) with her momma (Michelle) blowing out her candles.

Brad and Matt with their babies (Mallory and Trigger).

Mallory and Trigger giving each other some LOVE!

Mallory giving Trigger a kiss...isn't that sooo sweet!

Trigger had a great time and it wore him out! He sacked out as soon as we got on the road. Thanks, Mallory, for having a GREAT party~!

I'm Sorry!

I must have to start by saying, "I'm sorry, Save the Sparta people". I have had this swimming pool thing for Trigger since the beginning of summer.
Ours is like this one but in a square shape.
I decided to try it out yesterday. I opened the box fully prepared to have to blow up the ring around the outside. Well...lucky me (not so lucky for our water bill) I don't have to blow it because it hooks up to the water hose and the water fills up the ring. The great thing about it (and I knew Trigger would love this) is that it sprays water up. However, this thing wastes alot of water!!!
At first, when I put Trigger down, he was frozen like this.

Then, he decided that the cold water wasn't sooooo bad and he started splashing and having a good time.

This picture below reminds me sooo much of Seth (my brother). His expression and shape of his face looks so much like him. ANNNDDD, of course the blonde hair and blue eyes helps a little too!

I posted on FB about trying to decide which carseat to purchase for Trigger. After lots of input, we decided to order the Britax Marathon. It came in today and we are going to install it tonight. I am soooo excited. I just really think Trigger is going to be more comfortable in his new seat! From what I can tell so far, this seat is a very sturdy, well made seat!!!
Off to go get Trigger...he's already waking up from his afternoon nap...WHAT? it's only been 45 minutes...he must have forgotten that this nap is scheduled for TWO HOURS....guess he didn't check the calendar before going down...hahaha!!!!

Tech Farm Pictures

BLOG HOP- Favorite Photo

***This is a new thing that I am trying. It was started by and sponsered by two blogs that I read. This picture below is NOT my all time favorite picture of Trigger. But, this is my favorite from yesterday's photo shoot. I took Trigger to Tech farm on Louisiana Tech Univ.'s campus. They have a beautiful place to take pictures. Most of the local PRO photographers use this area to take photos. However, my assistant (Daddy) was not with us so I didn't get many smiles. It's hard to get an 11 month old to look and smile at the camera! I added my other favorites on another post!

Garage/Friday

It's

This is our garage in all it's glory! NOT A PRETTY SIGHT! We desperately need a shop for all this junk but that's not happening for awhile. So for now, we have a cramped space. Sorry...I did NOT clean it up before the pictures!

And, YES, we have two freezers and one refrigerator/freezer in our GARAGE...we are true rednecks...BUT, to our defense, the only reason we have the two freezer is for breastmilk storage and the upright one is still COMPLETELY full (and Trigger is 11 months old!)!!!

Today, Friday, has been an AWESOME day. Matt didn't have to work today so we had a fun day together. Matt went to his small group at 5:30 and brought a sausage and cheese biscuit back home for me...MAN, I have got to stop eating sooo much! Especially since I have to fit in a bridesmaids dress in about 3 weeks!!!! After breakfast, Trigger had a nap. Then, Matt, Trigger, and I went to eat at JOHNNY's...I LOVE ME SOME JOHNNY'S PIZZA...again, I need to stop eating like that! Then, I went to get a MUCH needed haircut. I would have taken a picture with the webcam but I can't seem to get it to work. Dana did an awesome job cutting it...it was a complete mop before...for some reason haircuts are at the bottom of the priority list these days! When I got home, Trigger was napping. Mrs. Arva came to clean the house...LOVE, LOVE having someone come clean my house. Matt, T, and I went to monroe to buy some picture frames. Did I mention that I ordered two large canvas prints that I had taken of Trigger in the last couple of months. They came in today and looked like a professional (not because of the photography but bc of the quality of the canvas) picture! I ordered the pictures Tuesday night and they came in today...so fast! They were WAY cheaper than getting professional to take and print them. I love them and we now have pictures on a couple of walls. YAY! So, I took a couple of pictures of them on the wall. My favorite is the one in the dining room. By the way, I desperately need a photo editing program. Does anyone have any suggestions on which one to buy?

Matt, T, and I had supper. Last, we went outside to ride the four-wheeler. Trigger LOVES to ride it...I know that's horrible that we take him on the four-wheeler but Matt doesn't drive fast.

I hope you have a great 4th of July. Check back soon because I am sure that I will post some pictures from Trigger's first July 4th! I realized today that this is his LAST first holiday. Kind of sad...my baby is growing up too fast!

Havin a Momma that's a Teacher!

Poor Trigger...having a momma that's a teacher is probably going to be rough on him! Tonight I was trying to clean up his closet when I noticed that we still had a stack of pregnancy magazines...you know, the ones they give you EVERYTIME you go for a checkup (and I went to the dr. alot so I have a ton)! I put them in a stack on Trigger's floor to remind myself to throw them away. Well Trigger immediately attacked them...imagine that! The boy has toys but chooses to play with everything but his toys. So, being the good Pre-K teacher that I am, I thought, "hmmm, it's never too early to start working on those fine motor skills...LETS TEAR SOME PAPER!" so we commenced! He LOVED it...he worked so hard to tear those magazine pages. You will notice in the pictures that he had a stash of little pieces in his left hand. He kept trying to secretively eat the stash..haha! (CHASTEN: I'm trying my hardest....he will have used scissors by the time you get him too!)

Then, "Uncle" Gabe came to pick Matt up for CORPS. It usually takes Trigger a little while to warm up to people even if he knows them. Tonight, as soon as he saw Gabe, he took off. He crawled so fast over to Gabe...acted as if his long lost friend had come over to play with him. It was so precious! Trigger even tried to share his "stash" with him. I'm sure Gabe appreciated that.
