6 months old!

Trigger is 6 months old TODAY! I can hardly believe that it has been 6 months since we gave birth to our little miracle. Trigger has been such a blessing. Yes, it has been a very tiring 6 months (especially since I went back to work at 5 weeks!). But, it was all worth it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
We took Trigger to his well baby visit on Tuesday. He now weighs 16lbs 1oz (25th percentile) and 26.75 inches (50th percentile). Dr. Slusher said that he has definitely caught up...hard to believe that he started out as an itty bitty 4lb 5oz baby! He's come a long way!!!! While at the doctor, he got his shots...3 in one leg and one in the other! He screamed and then silent cried for what seemed like forever. Even the two nurses were starring at him! Poor baby. Trigger has been a little under the weather. He has a cold but he's getting better.
Sleeping: The last two nights have been excellent. Matt has only had to get up twice each night to put a pacifier in! Hopefully tonight will be a good night because Matt has small group in the morning at 530 so I am on my own for awhile. As we speak, the little man is already crying...uh oh...not a good sign!
Well..I've got to try to get some sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a long day! BTW, I did take pictures of Trigger today but I did not have the energy to find the card reader and download them. I hate doing that...so maybe next time!!! SORRY!

ive joined the madness!

I am officially on facebook now. DEFINITELY not a good thing for me. I don't need anymore distractions in my life. Oh well! It has really been nice to have a way to catch up with old friends. I have gotten to "talk" with so many people that I went to school with so that's neat! Anyway, life has been busy of course. BUT, lots of fun. We have had an excellent weekend. Matt has a cold and hasn't felt great so we've just hung out at the house all weekend. We even had a fire going all day Saturday! I absolutely love a WOOD fire...something about the smell and the crackling noise makes me feel all warm and cozy inside.
Yesterday, I ran across this blog (www.kellyskornerblog.com) through Katherine Asher. Kelly has just had a baby girl and she was full term. Harper (the baby) is not doing well. They had to transport her to Tulsa to a children's hospital. At this point they are not sure exactly what is wrong but they believe she has some heart issues. Kelly (the mom) is a strong believer in Jesus! and she has asked for everyone to pray for their precious baby. From what the doctors and nurses were saying in the beginning, it is already a miracle that she's still alive. Her story really got to me and Matt. We were worried about Trigger when he was in the NICU but it was NOTHING that was life threatening. I just know that it's an emotional roller coaster to not have your baby home with you and to leave him/her in some else's care. Please pray for this family. The mom's name is Kelly, dad is Scott, and baby is Harper! I know that God can heal Harper. Even though we dont know her, please join us in praying for her!
Trigger hast learned a new trick. I posted pictures for you to see!

Happy New Year!

We have had such a good break and I'm starting to get a little sad that my two weeks are ending! I have really enjoyed staying home with Trigger (and Matt)!
Matt, Trigger, and I headed out to Natchez this past week. We only stayed for one night. It was Trigger's first time away from home...and his first time out of Louisiana! We went to go pick up Matt and Trigger's new toy...a four wheeler!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday...I'm off to school to try to get things ready! :(

Christmas Day

This was Trigger's First Christmas. We had a blast with him! Of course his favorite thing to do was to grab the paper, ribbons, or anything else he could find and put it STRAIGHT into his mouth (you will see many pictures of things in his mouth)!
Christmas morning we woke up and Matt went to fix sausage balls and a fire while I gave Trigger his morning bottle. Then, we all went in the den to see what Santa had brought! After opening all of our presents, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I sat back and relaxed all day (until supper). I have always rushed to get to lunch somewhere. Matt and I decided that Trigger had already had two days of going places so we stayed home. It was so nice just to spend some quality time with my family! After alot of relaxing (...if you can call it relaxing...relaxing with a baby!), we went to my Mamaw and Papaw's house. Papaw had his very own Santa suit. For MANY years, he was one of Santa's special helpers at First National Bank in Arcadia. I was so glad that he dressed up so that Trigger could have his picture made with him. I have so many pictures of me with Santa (aka Papaw). We got a picture of all three great grandsons. Then, one with all of the great grandkids. If you look closely, Trigger was doing great in the pictures. Then, he heard Brannon crying and he got upset as well. I love the picture with Brannon and Trigger screaming!!! We had a great time at Mamaw's...it is getting more and more crowded every year. I can't wait to see if we have any more additions next year!!!!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas eve at lunch, we go to my parents' house to open presents and eat. Then, at supper we go to Matt's parents' house! Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!!

Christmas

Trigger had a great first Christmas. This slide show shows him at Mt. Mariah (Matt's Parent's church) and us at my Meme and Papaw's house. We celebrated Christmas for three days and had a blast. Trigger's favorite this was the paper and ribbons!!! But, he received many wonderful gifts!!! Thank you to everyone!!!!!
