My Campbell

I love my campbell…he is so darn cute…but sooooo head strong.  We just thought Trigger was difficult.  Campbell is proving to be way, way more difficult.  I am hoping that most of it is just normal two year old behavior.  We took a lot of pictures while matt was gone.  It’s kind of my outlet….my happy place.  So, I took some of Campbell one day.  They aren’t anything special but they capture his playful, fun, a little wild personality.

I sure love him…even though he is turning my hair gray and making matts fall out.

pumpkin patch pics

I forgot that crystal garcia took pumpkin patch pictures again this year.  they turned out really good but I am not sure if we will do this again next year or just do a fall family session without pumpkins in the background.  I will have to think about that one…

here are a few…IMG_1399IMG_1440IMG_1447IMG_1508IMG_1521IMG_1545IMG_2664

Asia

In November I asked you to be praying and that it would be a rough ten days.  Well, my husband was in Asia (not going to say specifics) with a couple of other guys from our church.  He was gone for 10 days.  It was the longest ten days EVER.  Matt and I have never been apart that long…and on top of just me missing him…I had to take care of our three hooligans while he was gone.  Thankfully, my parents were a HUGE help…especially at bedtime because it’s really hard to man all three during that time of the day.

Before he left, he gave each of the kids a little toy.  Bless Matt’s heart.  He had a really hard time leaving.

IMG_7811IMG_7812I bought this blow up world so that Matt could show them where he would be.  I put a star sticker on it.  The boys loved it!IMG_7821IMG_7827We had to take some pictures before he left!IMG_7848IMG_7854IMG_7861IMG_7865

Larkin was ready for a nap.  ;)  We made it through the ten days…I am sure he will go again.  Amanda and I have decided that we need to put one of those tracking devices on our Matts.  The hardest part was the traveling days because we had very little contact with them…just had to watch our handy plane tracking apps.  I did get to skype with Matt some while he was there so that was very helpful.  We survived…until next year!

Halloween

Yes, I realize that it is just a few days until Christmas and my title says “halloween”.  That would be because I am very, very far behind on blogging.  STORY. OF. MY. LIFE!  Someone…ahem…sent me a text tonight and told me I needed to hop to it so she would have something to read.  Guess I needed that push.  I have to say that blogging is really the only way that I document.  For example…I just printed out a tooth chart to go in Larkin’s baby book…yes, she is almost a year old and yes, the pattern that you see of me procrastinating and never getting things done DOES in fact, carry over to almost every aspect of my life….anyway, I printed out the chart and I had to look back on here to see when she actually got teeth.  And, she still doesn’t have exact dates of when each pearly white broke through the gum like I had with Trigger.  Oh well…she will just have to be happy that there is something in her baby book!

Back to Halloween.  Let’s make this brief.  We had Halloween.  Both of the boys had a dress up day at school and then on halloween we went to our fall festival at church.  If I remember correctly, we probably shouldn’t have been there.  I think Campbell had a cough and Larkin was just diagnosed with the low immune system thing and had just gotten tubes.  Nope, I sure wont win mother of the  year.

Trigger was spiderman…that KILLED me.  a character…sigh.  I swore it wouldn’t happen and I only lasted until he was four and I caved.  double SIGH!

Campbell was woody.  Actually, now that I think of it…woody is a character too.  sigh..sigh…sigh.  But, the woody costume is super cute….not so much for the spiderman costume!

Larkin was…are we ready for this…A PUMPKIN.  I just couldn’t let the opportunity pass.  Both of my boys wore this costume so she had to also!

IMG_7626IMG_7630IMG_7631Trigger and his best friend, SamIMG_7632Trigger and AlexIMG_7635IMG_7656IMG_7722My parents walking in to the fall festival with the boysIMG_7734Trigger looks thrilled that we had to stop to fill out the forms before entering.IMG_7735IMG_7744IMG_7746Larkin and Charlie Williams…yes, he is four months YOUNGER than larkin.  Poor larkin is so short/petite.IMG_7748IMG_7771IMG_7772IMG_7785IMG_7789Of course this was Campbells favorite.  He LOVES to “shoot” animals.IMG_7799Our huge family. ;)IMG_7802

Lately

Where to start?!?! I have no clue. I'll start with today Bc I can remember that the best! We had a busy day.
We rushed to get ready...breathing treatment, breakfast, and a quick picture of my boys on the way out the door.
Love their shirts!!!!

We dropped Campbell off at "school". Then, we had to take Trigger to the ENT to have his ears rechecked. He has had fluid on his ear (mainly the right one) for 2 months. So, we waited...and took pictures. Bc that's what all good mommas do in the waiting room, right?!

We got sent down to X-ray. Then back up to audiology for a test to check fluid and a hearing test. Then we waited to see dr. Neal.

Dr. Neal gave us the news that trigger did still have fluid in both ears. AND, his adenoids were rather large. Soooo, he needs tubes put in and adenoid tissue taken out. We have it scheduled for Thursday.
Then, if you are at all familiar with the whole process...and we most certainly are! You will know what comes next.....BLOODWORK!
Now, Matt and I are not the most sympathetic people. Let me start by saying that I do not think our way that we handle things is the best way...in fact, I'm sure they will need counseling at some point for our parenting decisions. So, I am a firm believer in just telling the truth and telling like it is. Comes from lots of lies that I was told as a child. So, we left and I turned to trigger and said "we are going to get blood work". And as I expected he responded with asking what that was. I told him what they would do. Btw, this is not his first go of this so he somewhat remembers. We don't make a big deal out of it. I warn him what is coming. I am very factual. And that's it. Check out that face. Don't worry. He's not neglected. I hugged on him a million times. But I just don't baby him. I just reassure in a very no big deal tone that its going to be FINE!
He did great. He kept making this face but once we got back there, he didnt cry at all. Watched the needle. Talked to the ladies.

Trigger is my worrier. Every time a dr visit is involved, he asks me how long it is until his bday Bc he knows that he has to get another shot after his birthday (flu shot).
After we left the lab, we had to make a quick stop at the surgical center to preregister. Got that done in record time...however, this is our fifth set of tubes in a year and a half. I feel like I need a frequent flyer card that I can just swipe.
By this time, it was 1115. I had promised trigger that he could go to school and see Sam (his best friend). So, I took him there and headed home. Miss priss was a trouper. She missed her morning nap. And she almost completely missed a feeding. She was fed at 7 and didn't get fed again until 12. Poor baby!!!!
When we went to pick up the boys, the teachers were kind of waiting by the door. They greeted me with "did you get my text" (and I hadn't Bc I was on the phone) "he's asleep"
Me: "what?!?!?!!!! Asleep?!?!!! He must be exhausted from the morning. Ooooor he's getting horribly sick"
It was worth a picture since he has never napped at trinity!!!!!

After that, we played, cleaned, folded clothes, ate supper, cleaned up supper, baths, pjs, reading books, and bedtime.
TIRED!!!!

Sleeping babies

Ok. So I can't seem to get it together enough to blog from my computer. At the moment, I am pumping. Yes, my baby is 10 months old and I am still pumping. And the stupid part is that she still want take a sippy cup. So, I pump this milk to attempt to give her a sippy cup with a meal...IF I remember. Stupid! Believe me, I know!
Anyway, I decided that I should make a little blog post from my phone. I should start doing this every night because truthfully, this is where all of the "good" pictures are. The truthful, what's really happening in my life pictures!!!! I took a quick glance back at my pictures and noticed that I have a lot of sleeping babies in my pictures. I love a sleeping baby/toddler/preschooler!

And those are just from the last couple months! I'm a little obsessed with seeing my children sleeping. So peaceful. You will notice, however, that I don't have many pictures of Campbell. He is super grumpy if you wake him up so I don't risk it! T sleeps very little so when he is asleep, he's out and he's a WILD sleeper as you can tell. Every few nights, I have to go back there and pull him back onto the bed Bc his head will literally be hanging down off the bed with the rest of his body on top of bed. Can't see how that is comfortable. And, Larkin...I have to wake her up from these sleeping positions daily to pick up or take brothers to school. :(
Ok. I'm off to get some sleep myself. I hope no one is taking pictures of me though. Ha!
