Pregnant Grandaughters!

I have been waiting to post this....Kim Hood Audi (my cousin) is having a baby too! So...that makes not 1 grandaughter...not 2 grandaughters...but, 3 grandaughters are PREGNANT!!! Me, Jenny, and Kim are all pregnant. I am due August 29th, Jenny on October 1st (pretty sure about this date), and Kim on November 3rd. We are all about a month apart! Christmas at Mamaw and Papaw's house is going to be BUSY! Isn't this exciting!

Baby Purchases!

We are trying to get ready for Trigger! I have posted some pictures of a few things that have been purchased.

My parents bought our bedding for us. I LOVE it. The bumper is backordered so I don't have a picture of it. I did take a picture of the quilt, pillow, sheet, and crib skirt.

This is a picture of an outfit that Matt HAD to have...Polo outfit.

This is one of my favorite outfits that I have bought. If you know our family, you know that baseball is something everyone MUST love (or at least tolerate)!!!

My parents came over Thursday night before our family supper to see the bedding and some of the outfits I had bought. They brought over a gift...Trigger's FIRST Astros outfit and an Astros bear. The Hoods (and Woodards) LOVE the Astros!!!

Another two items that are hanging in his closet are some of my jeans from when I was little (which are creek ready...that's what I used them for...crawling in the creek with Will) and my old overalls! Of course these two items will not be used for awhile but they are waiting in the closet.
I am sorry that I still haven't posted pictures from our ultrasound. I really don't know how to work our scanner. I will try to get Matt to work on that this week! I forgot to mention that Matt and I went to the doctor on Thursday afternoon. Dr. Harper gave us a great report. Our Antiphospholipid (Blood clotting disease) Panel came back from our last blood work and it is still positive. That is actually good. I would rather just have the disease than having it come and go. We will visit Dr. Harper again in two weeks AND he has ordered us another ultrasound for two weeks. I do not love having the blood clotting disease (or being high risk) but it sure is nice being monitored so close and having this many ultrasounds.

By the way.... 22 school days left! It is rather bittersweet. I always love the idea of getting out for summer. Then, when it arrives, I am very bored. However, we all NEED a break including the children. We are all tired!

It's been awhile!

Sorry. It has been awhile since my last post! I'm not sure that I can say that I have been busy because I haven't been as busy as I need to be. Matt, on the other hand, has been VERY busy. The life of a CPA is not a glorious one. Last week he worked over 90 hours, but he is back to normal hours. I have had several people ask me what Matt does for the rest of the year. He has PLENTY to do the rest of the year....I don't think I really could explain all the things he does, BUT I do know that he is not playing golf or solitaire EVER! He is a very hard working man and I am proud of him!!!
Well. We had a little scare today. I have been having alot of pelvic pressure lately which I assumed was completely normal. I thought that as the baby gets heavier and things are stretching that I would feel pressure. This morning I began to wonder if it was actually normal so I called Liz. I really thought she would squander any worries that I had. She didn't...she told me to call Susan. I called Susan and she said that she thought everything was fine. She said I should just tell Dr. Harper at my next appt. Throughout the day, the worry grew and I called Mrs. Flo (Dr. Harper's nurse). She said it could be nothing or it could be something....REAL assuring! :) So she had me come in immediately to get checked. After I got off the phone with her, I called Matt. Somehow, in the busy time over the last week, I forgot to mention to Matt that I had been having this mystery "pressure". So he was quite shocked to hear that I was going to the doctor. He met me at Dr. Harper's office.
Dr. Harper gave me a hug as soon as he came in the office. What a caring doctor I have!! He checked me and said everything looked really good. We heard the heartbeat also. All very good signs!! He didn't really tell me what was causing the pressure. Dr. Harper sent us home with the instructions to pay attention to the pressure and come back on Monday if it hasn't gotten any better by then. Our normal appointment is on Thursday. I know I am a nutty patient but I am glad that I have such a great doctor that doesn't treat me like I am crazy!
I guess that is the big update for now. I do have to say that I have been trying to think about the nursery. Matt and I have ordered the furniture. I have ordered the bedding. AND, I have a few ideas for the pictures on the walls. I am not a fan of meaningless art just to fill the walls. I had Corbin (my nephew) paint a car on canvas for me to frame. I am going to have Chelsea (niece) paint a train and Abby (niece) paint a sailboat. I think it will be a priceless collection of art for the walls. I will have to add photos of their work at a later date. I will also have to post some pictures of the outfits that I have bought!!!!
20 weeks!!! We are half way there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in the Swing of Things...

We started back to school today. Whew...I am tired! It's been a long day. The children were very well behaved, but VERY talkative. They were just excited to see their friends and they HAD to talk! So...now I am laying on the couch searching the internet for nursery decorations. By the way, we ordered our baby furniture (crib, dresser, armoire, chair and ottoman) on Saturday. The big decision now is baby bedding. I think I almost have it figured out!!! My goal is to have the nursery finished by the time I get out of school in case I am put on bed rest.
Trigger received his first gift this weekend. Corbin, our nephew, is very excited about having a boy in the family. He picked out some blue pacifiers for his new cousin. Chelsea and Anna Grace, our neices, picked out a board book. Aren't they sooo sweet!
His second gift came this morning. Chasten (Miss Dance) gave Trigger a toy that can attach to the car seat. Of course the toy is educational since it has different textures for him to feel! Thanks, Chelsea, Corbin, Anna Grace, and Chasten!!
Well. I better go rest up for another day. Spring Break really spoiled me!

Drum roll, please.....

We are having a BOY!!!!!!!! I know...I was surprised. I guess my feeling was wrong. We are going to have a precious boy, and we are very excited. It will be the first boy grandchild (and great grandchild) on my side of the family. We had alot of fun telling my parents and matt's parents last night. I had made two sets of burp cloths: two for girls and two for boys. Yesterday, after the ultrasound, I wrapped up the boy burp cloths for our parents. I will post a picture of them opening them. I know your next question, "Have you thought about names?" Yes, we have a name and I will explain the meaning behind it. We are going to name our little boy....

Trigger Woodard. I know it is a different name, but it is a family name. My mom's name was Trigger so of course that is a very special name for me. We are still working on the middle name. He will be called Trigger!

I was going to post some ultrasound pictures from yesterday, but the scanner is NOT cooperating. I will post the pictures of our parents last night. My dad was acting surprised in their picture even though he says that he was not surprised at all....he knew it would be a boy.

Shhhhh....It's a SECRET!!!

We had THE ultrasound today and everything looked good. The ultrasound tech did a great job, and she told us everything measured on time and all the organs were in place. The big secret is that Matt and I know what we are having (the baby's sex). BUT, we are not telling until tonight. I wanted to tell my parents when they're together and not just over the phone. We will go visit my parents at 5:00ish, and Matt's parents are meeting us at our house at 6:00. It is KILLING me not being able to tell. We are very excited. We really just wanted to see a healthy baby on the screen. I have to admit that I was a little nervous since we have not had an official ultrasound in over 7 weeks. It was definitely an added bonus to find out the sex!!! I hope you all have a GREAT day, and I am sure that we will be talking to alot of you tonight. Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had a good Easter. We had a great weekend. On Saturday, I went to our anual Uncle Sydney's (family) picnic. If you saw me this weekend, you know that I got burnt very badly at the picnic but it was good to see family members that I haven't seen in a long time. On Saturday night, Matt and I went to Mamaw and Papaw's house for supper. We had fun watching Abby, Meredith, and Sydney! Next Easter will be a little more busy with our baby AND Jenny's baby. My cousin, Jenny, called me Thursday night to tell me that she is expecting her second child on October 1st. WOW....our family is growing FAST!

On Easter, Matt and I got up and went to Sunday School and Church. Afterwards, we went to Matt's parents house to eat lunch. We had a great time. While we were eating, Anna Grace kept nodding off while eating her lunch. I gladly volunteered to hold her while she took her nap. There is nothing more peaceful than watching a baby sleep. We left Matt's parents and went straight to the hospital BECAUSE Michelle wanted to take another look at the baby on the ultrasound machine. She is determined to figure out the sex of the baby. Susan also met us up there to take a look. Well....we still don't know what we are having which is okay. I was just very thankful to see the baby's heartbeat and that the baby was moving. Matt and I left the hospital and went home to eat supper and watch Enchanted. Matt is such a sport to watch such a girly movie.

I do have to say...I really am thinking the baby might be a girl! I don't know why but holding Anna Grace and watching Enchanted just made me feel like it might be a girl! We will see on Friday!!!

It was a busy weekend!
