I saw on Kelly’s Korner blog that she had done this with her little girl so I decided to try it with Trigger while I was cooking supper one night. He LOVED it and so did Campbell. I have only done it a couple of times because I don’t want Trigger to get bored with it by doing it too much. All you have to do is put down big towels, place two pans on the towels, put ice in one pan, and give them a spoon. I told Trigger to transfer the ice from one pan to the other. He did really good and Campbell even liked playing with the ice.

The Circus
We went to the Circus at the beginning of March. This was the first time that I had been to the circus since I was little. Trigger enjoyed it…I found it a little boring. Here are a few pictures. I realized while I was uploading these that you can’t even tell that we are at the zoo.Trigger was a big fan of cotton candy! ;)
Trigger’s sweet tooth
Trigger LOVES, LOVES anything sweet. We used to be very, very strict about what he ate but I have slacked a little bit…guess that is what a second child will do to you. Now, don’t get me wrong…he still doesn’t get juice except at mdo or special occasions. We do use ICEE’s for our mdo napping incentive because naps are so important in our house. This particular day I told him that if he took a really long nap, I would get him some ice cream. I needed to go to tech farm to get some milk anyway so it was going to be easy for me to reward him. He did take a good nap so we both got a cup of ice cream. This was Trigger’s first time to have an ice cream cup by himself…and he was IN MY CAR. It wasn’t probably the smartest idea but he really did great. He was so funny…he licked the cup clean and I mean he literally licked it CLEAN! I was on the road watching all of this out of my mirror and I just had to stop and take a few pictures because he looked so cute!
I know those pictures don’t mean much to most people but to me, those pictures of my little boy scraping his cup, trying to get every last drop…its PRICELESS!
A little bit of nothing- March
March and April are crazy months in our household because Matt worked a million hours so we take care of necessities and try to get family time in as much as possible when he’s home. Matt has always amazed me with his ability to work so many hours and still find time for us! I could NOT do it!!!!!!! Anyway, we spent a lot of days just hanging out, doing nothing, and taking pictures…here are a few that I loved. Campbell still loves his fingers. This was either on a Saturday or a Sunday…Matt was working from home. I needed him to hold Campbell for a minute so I snapped a picture because I thought it was funny that Matt just kept on working.
Love this one with his little clapping/praying hands in the shadow.
Campbell waving.
And Campbell got tired of me taking his picture so he just laid down on top of me to rest! ;)
This is when (8-9 months) he really started pretend playing…he would stir the pot, talk on the phone, push a car back and forth, etc.
Trigger is sooo easily amused…
Love this sweet little innocent look.
Meeting Harold, the bunny
Okay…so I’m about to have to back it up a couple of months and try to get caught up on pictures again. I hate being behind and honestly, I feel it’s pointless for me to go back and blog about things that happened 2 months ago…well, it’s not exactly pointless but it wouldve been a lot better of a post if I had blogged about it right away while things were fresh on my mind so I could tell funny stories about what happened. Oh well, I will try my best!
My brother, Lance, has a girlfriend, Chelse, that has a bunny. She named him Harold because she thought it sounded like a wise name. The funny thing that she didn’t know when naming him is that my grandfather’s (Liz’s dad) name is Harold. So, Papaw and the bunny share a wise name! haha! Anyway, Chelse was at my parents house and had her bunny so I took the boys over there to see him…this was still during tax season so I needed some weekend activities (and naptime bribery) for the boys. Trigger was so excited and, OF COURSE, Campbell just gave the bunny a look! haha…I just love his little personality!
Here are a few pictures before we left to see Harold. This was the first time they had on shorts…so these were obviously a while back. I thought they looked cute matching so I tried to get some pictures…hahahaha…that was hysterical. Do you see Trigger’s face in the first picture? I was busy taking pictures but he had just kicked Campbell…and that is why Campbell is wailing. Now, don’t be feeling all sorry for little Campbell. Even though he does get tortured by his big brother, he totally knows how to get Trigger in trouble by turning on the water works…he’s a smart kid!
And he made it worse by giving him a hug (aka TACKLING him).
Here is Trigger holding Harold. And Campbell grabbing Harold’s ear!

I'm loving it!
Pure bliss!!! I wish it wasnt so humid but it's still nice outside. Matt wonders why we dont spend more time outside. I'd love to be outside all day with the boys but I can't get anything done in the house when I'm outside. Plus, trigger gets filthy dirty so it's almost impossible to go anywhere after without bathing him.
Ok. Off to deal with my child throwing rocks at the house! ;)

My loves and dislikes
This is going to be a pretty random post unless I go off on a tangent…which could happen!
Here are a few of my loves here lately:
- I LOVE shopping at Family Dollar! Why? Because it’s clean…it’s quiet…they have the essentials…I can run in quickly…it’s on the way home…THERE are tons of reasons! If only they had fruit and vegetables, I would never go to Walmart!
- I LOVE Campbell’s little backwards wave! I also love that we have been working on signing “all done”…so far, he uses his bye-bye signal using both hands when I say “all done, all done?” Trigger used signing a lot and I LOVED it…my cousins use it too!
- I LOVE that I am putting my phone and computer down and starting to spend more quality time with my boys!! Now, I still have it more than I should..baby steps!!
- I LOVE how Campbell is starting to use things for the purpose that they are intended…here are some examples 1. He will pick up a brush and start brushing his hair. 2. He picks up phones and holds them to his ear. 3. He will go to the play kitchen and get a spoon and a pot and “stir”.
- I LOVE (I’m being sarcastic here) how when I bring out the camera, this is what I get from the two boys…I’m glad to see that they are on the same page: not cooperating with their momma!
- I LOVE my IPAD…it has been a lifesaver with all of these dr appts. I have tons of educational game apps on it…and if we are desperate (like when waiting for 2 hours to see the dr.), I have several tv (pirates, diego, mickey, max and ruby, etc.) episodes on there that he can watch! It really has been so awesome because I can only entertain him by reading books for so long AND I don’t want him roaming around the dr office, touching everything.
- I LOVE my new sonic discovery….LEMON BERRY SLUSHES!!! I used to get a lemon slush but I got the lemon berry one day and fell in LOVE…it is sooooooooo yummy!!! So glad I didn’t know about those when I was pregnant!
- I LOVE nursing my baby boy! I’m not sure when I will give it up…especially our nighttime feeding. I LOVE, LOVE it!!!!!!!! I’m also kind of obsessed with Medela! I am still pumping morning and night…I should probably get over my fear of my milk supply drying up. And, I should also start freezing the 18 ounces that I pump every day. I’m just lazy and COVER YOUR EARS, have been pouring it out! I thought Dr. Slusher was going to fall out of her seat when I told her that! I do use it for straw (sippy) cups and rice cereal….but other than that, I’ve just been pouring it out since the beginning of February. I do have to say that we already have a freezer and a half of milk that I’m not sure will ever get used. I would like Campbell to get breastmilk just as long as Trigger did (15-18 months).
- I LOVE how Campbell just adores Trigger!!!!! and how Trigger tolerates Campbell!
- I LOVE Matt’s new truck. I never thought we would own a Ford…But it is so nice! I won’t be changing over though because I like Tahoe/Suburbans too much!
- I LOVE hearing Trigger pray. I don’t get to do our nighttime routine with him often because I’m usually nursing Campbell. However, a month or so ago, I was putting Trigger down and we said our prayers. I only prompted him by saying, “let’s pray”. He bowed his head and said, “Lord, thank you momma, campbell, momma.” This is how his prayers usually start…he somehow always forgets Matt. He continued “thank you dresser, thank you froggy (his piggy bank that’s shaped like a frog), thank you lamp, thank you monitor, thank you bed, thank you closet, thank you my clothes…”. He went on for a few more things. It just made my heart smile!!!!!
- I LOVE days when Liz/Zizzy can bring Sydney over to play. It’s just so fun to watch Trigger and Sydney play AND fight! (below: Trigger, Sydney, Zizzy, and Campbell eating lunch in the playset.)
- I LOVE that busy season is ALMOST over…I am seeing the light…and I am thankful! Matt has done a great job of making time for us…(below: is a pictureof us eating a picnic lunch one Sunday. the second one is of Campbell eating his first finger food…puffs.)
- I LOVE that Easter is AFTER busy season this year…doesn’t happen very often but I’m glad that Matt will be able to participate in ALL Easter activities!
- I LOVE that even though my boys have had ear infections and kept a upper resp virus all winter, that they are HEALTHY boys and have no serious problems or illnesses!
Here are a few things that I do NOT love:
- I do NOT love that the Easter bunny is going to be coming in less than a month…he will fill the boys baskets (which by the way, the Easter bunny is soooo not bought stuff for that yet) AND he is also going to come get
ourTrigger’s pacis….This is bothering me for two reasons: 1. the obvious one, he depends on his paci to sleep…no paci=no sleep…I hope he can figure out a way to soothe himself to sleep without it. He’s NEVER slept without it! NEVER!!!!! 2. this is the last paci in our house. Campbell doesn’t have one…it will be the last little babyhood thing left…well, except for the fact that he is still wearing diapers ;) - I do NOT love telling this sweet baby “no” but we have to all the time…and even popped his hand quite a few times. He’s a mischievous little monkey! I’m a little worried though because the other day, Campbell kept playing with this electrical outlet (which is covered now). He knows better because he will look at you and then make a beeline over there and then look back at you before he starts touching and SMILE! I will tell him “no, no” and it’s like he’s daring me…he’ll just stare and smile. Then, this particular day, I walked over and popped his hand…not real hard but probably harder than we did Trigger’s at this age and GUESS WHAT HE DID?!?! He started laughing…like ALL OUT BELLY LAUGHING. He would then proceed with touching it again, I would say, “no” and pop his hands and the laughter would start! It was rather humorous….seriously though?!?! Does God really think I need two defiant children? I’m hoping that was just a fluke!
- I do NOT love that I seem to never have it together…I can’t remember anything these days…and I certainly can’t get anything done! The house is always a wreck, the dishes are always piled high, the dirty laundry is always covering the floor OR the clean laundry is covering the couch, and toys are always EVERYWHERE!!!!
- I do NOT love that my children are growing up so fast!
- I do NOT love administering (or really any medicine) nose spray to Trigger twice a day. It’s NOT easy…and he does NOT love it!
- I do NOT love my obsession with cadbury eggs, thin mints, dark choc cookies, or anything else sweet….AND, my body is not loving it either. I am ALSO NOT loving the c-section tummy. I can’t seem to get my nice tummy back…It’s true about the cutting muscle thing. It’s a lot harder to get my stomach back to normal. OR MAYBE it’s the way I keep shoveling food into my mouth OR maybe it’s the lack of exercise!
- I do NOT love the late hours that my husband has to work during busy season! It worries me!!!!
- I do NOT love Trigger’s sassiness or his disregard for anything I have to say….I also do NOT like that finger being pointed at me while he is telling me that he is NOT doing what I tell him to do. I also do NOT love that he has to go to the corner or get spankings so often. I do NOT love how I have used some harsher tones when disciplining him. I have got to work on patience.
- I do NOT love that I am not consistent with a quiet time reading God’s word and praying. I have got to make that a daily priority!!!!!!
- I do NOT love that over the last month or two (with ear infections), Campbell has stopped using his left hand fingers (which were his middle two….and not his serious fingers). Now, he sucks on his right hand fingers (pointer and middle fingers) and holds/plays with his left ear with his hand. It makes me sad. I kind of liked when he sucked on those middle two left fingers. :(
- I do NOT like that Trigger does NOT like for me to take pictures of him anymore…that would be why I have so many pictures of Campbell!!
- I do NOT like that as soon as I finished refinishing our desk and matt bought a gigantic monitor and I finally found my photo editing cd and installed it so I could edit pictures on the HD screen, that our computer crashed…AND, Matt doesn’t have the time to deal with it.
- I do NOT like that I just pumped while holding my electrical cord together….seriously, I did!!! That cord has been toted so many places that it has frayed wires coming out of it in every direction…VERY unsafe!!!!!! When I turned on my pump and it wouldn’t come on, I almost had a full blown panic attack. Matt just told me that when I’m done pumping, I needed to give it to Life Choices. WHAT?!?! I know that’s the right thing to do but seriously, that pump and I have spent hours upon hours together over the last three years!!!!! I will be sad day to put it to rest! He did say that IF (that’s a big IF in his mind) we had another child, we would just buy another pump….maybe, just maybe!!!
I know I keep stalling with these kinds of posts but I really am going to get back on track with blogging soon! btw, forgive me if there are typos…I don’t have the energy to go back and read.
