Dressing up for MDO

On Thursday, Trigger dressed up in one of his Halloween costumes to Mother’s Day Out.  Trigger is absolutely obsessed with Woody!  Trigger’s Poppy and Zizzy bought him a Woody costume for his birthday.  Trigger makes a pretty cute Woody!

Oh and if you ask Trigger what Woody says, he responds, “Eee-Haw”.  LOVE it!!!

The Shop

Whew…things have been busy around the Woodard compound!  This past week on Wednesday, the people (I don’t know what you call them) came and formed up the pad for our shop.  It was amazing how fast this crew completed it.  It made me VERY thankful that Matt decided NOT to take on the task of building it himself…sooooo VERY thankful!!!!  Anyway, on Thursday morning, the concrete was poured.  Of course, we have taken LOTS of pictures.  Here are a few.

 

Trigger was on cloud nine watching all of the men work and pour concrete!!! And of course we had to have our boys’ handprints and footprints in the concrete.  Too bad the concrete had hardened quite a bit so now that it’s dried, you can only see Trigger’s footprint.  I’m glad I put our names in the concrete because you can really see them!

They (the other people that actually put the building up) should be here in a week to actually build the building!  We are beyond excited to get all of this JUNK out of the garage.  However, that means I will be going through ALL my school stuff again.  Matt had to pack most of my classroom up for me because we had a 3 week old baby and I had had a csection soooo things aren’t really organized and there is ALOT of stuff that I’m getting rid of and some will come inside for my boys to use!  Soooo…it’s going to be ALOT of work but I can’t wait to have the storage space.

Playset Progress

Matt has been working REALLY hard on the playset.  These pictures I am going post were taken last week so they don’t include today’s progress.  Railing is finished (as you can see in the picture).  The things you can’t see that were done today: Two swings mounted, the “holes” (places for slides that haven’t come in/place for rock wall and zipline that hasn’t been made) have been boarded up so that Trigger can’t fall out, and railing for the steps going up to deck #2 is 50% complete.  We just need steps from the ground to deck #1.  Matt has waited until now to put those up so that he couldn’t play on it before it was safe!

Matthew has worked sooo hard on this playset and it is turning out sooo awesome!!!!  It’s bigger and better than I could have ever imagined!

My, My Campbell…

You have been a BUSY man!!!  You are up to so much these days that I thought you needed your own post…don’t worry, Trigger found his way into some pictures too!

• You prefer to still be held ALL day by me.  Occasionally, you will play independently but you prefer to cuddle!  I do hold you alot and not only because you prefer it but because it’s for your own safety with Trigger around!  Haha.  This is pretty sad but Liz and I were comparing your measurements to your Uncle Lance’s when he was  your age.  Zizzy thinks You are long and lanky like Uncle Lance was.  Well, while she was looking it up, she mentioned that Uncle Lance sat up for the first time right before he turned 5 months.  DING DONG…A question mark went off in my head…have I even TRIED to see if you can sit up…NOPE!!!!  Well, I got off the phone and tried…YOU can sit up.  I can’t say that I am surprised..you have been very strong and active from day 1!  And, you have a petite little head so that helps you out to not have a heavy head!

I thought these pictures were sweet…some are blurry but are so precious to me! I know this somehow just got off on Trigger but do  you see the images below.  Trigger is dancing to a yo gabba gabba guitar.  Take a good look BECAUSE that guitar is about to find it’s way to Rolling Hills.  ANNOYING!!!

• You are still being fed EVERY three hours during the day.  I am breastfeeding you except for a nighttime bottle before you go down.  I have tried to stretch you out but YOU ARE obviously A HUNGRY, GROWING BOY!  At night, you go for a few days of doing GREAT and will sleep for 12 hours.  THEN, you will wake every three hours STARVING.  We are working on letting you just cry during the night when you wake up.  Last night, you woke up around 12 and I knew you weren’t hungry so we let you cry …it lasted for about 10 minutes and you fell back to sleep and slept until 8:15 this morning.  Oh and we put you down at about 7:45 every night.
• Just like your big brother, your teeth have decided to make an early appearance.  AFTER, TONS of drooling and LOTS of fussiness AND NOT good nights, You had your lower right tooth come in on October 12th.  Then, we had a few good days and the drooling, fussiness, and not good nights started AGAIN.  Your lower left tooth came in on October 20th.   It will be interesting to see which tooth will come in next.  If you follow Triggers (AND MY) pattern, you will get your top FANG teeth…which would NOT be the correct order to get your teeth.  HAHA!  Here’s a picture of those pearly whites.  Guess we need to start brushing them…

• Another thing you have accomplished lately is that you have found your feet.  Again, I am not real sure when this started…because you aren’t down much!  Shhhh…’ll just pick a date for the baby book…

 

• You are now wearing 6 month clothes but only because you are so long….shirts are too short on you and your toes are at the end of pjs.  It won’t be long before you have to move to 9 month clothes.  I really don’t like this because your clothes look kind of funny on you because they are baggy….really a foreign concept for us short and squatty people!  :)
• We are LOVING every minute with you…everything is just going by too quickly.  I don’t remember this part going by so quickly with Trigger.  Your brother loves you soooo much even though he is continuously hurting you!

My Boys

My two boys are so very precious to me…In an attempt to get some of my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks so I can move on to posting about HALLOWEEN, I’m going to skip the chit-chat and upload a bunch of precious pictures of two adorable boys!  :)

Below: Trigger BEFORE he got his haircut…it had gotten VERY long.

Lately, if you can’t find Trigger, he’s usually under our bed on Matt’s side.  And usually, if he is found there, he has something he’s not suppose to have (paci, control, phone, etc.)!  He’s soooo sneaky!

Campbell was wearing the MOST adorable Astros pjs (that were Trigger’s) and so I decided to take a few (probably 150) pictures!

Then, You-Know-Who decided that he wanted in the action and told me “Campbell…sit here” so that he could read to him.

Watch their heads on these next two pictures… Then, Campbell started grabbing his shirt and the book so Trigger decided he’d had ENOUGH!

That’s okay because Campbell had had enough too…and was a little sleepy!  Forgive me for posting so many pictures of the same thing…I just can’t choose one of Campbell sucking on his fingers…it’s absolutely ADORABLE!

Trigger decided that he’d be a good big brother again and love on Campbell.

And as you can see above, Campbell got tired of Trigger again.  HAHA!!  It’s a vicious cycle…Campbell really doesn’t like when Trigger tries to yank his fingers out of his mouth (see above).

Aren’t they cute?  I think so but they are my babies…so I’m just a little biased!!!
