HOLA!

I couldn't think of a good title so "HOLA" is it! Sorry...not feeling creative AT ALL! I cooked for a majority of the day and I'm TIRED. My longtime friend had a baby a couple of weeks ago and I took her (Emery) and her husband (Eric) some supper. Baby Hudson is just precious! And, tomorrow evening, my in-laws are coming over to celebrate MIL and SIL's birthdays! So....I went ahead and cooked everything today so the flavors can mix! Hopefully it will all taste good. We are having crawfish pasta, salad, garlic bread, and cake or strawberry pie for dessert.

Here's a picture of our kitchen after all the cooking...I did clean it all up myself...Matt usually helps, but I didn't want him messing with all the crawfish stuff...he's allergic!
Anyway, Trigger and I have such a good time together lately...we haven't done anything special...just living life! and I LOVE staying home with Trigger. I will definitely need lots of prayers in a few weeks when I have to go back to school and leave him! We've both gotten a little attached! Here are some pictures from today. Trigger was in such a good mood after his afternoon nap...I was busy cooking so I put him in his highchair to give himself is bottle (really it's a sippy cup now) and he had a little snack of cheerios!

The picture below is of Trigger sneezing...funny! I can't believe I caught it on camera!

And, here are a few of our CHEAP entertainment. Trigger LOVES to carry things around in his mouth. And, he always climbs on the dishwasher while I'm trying to do the dishes so I try to give him something to play with. Tonight, it was a big red spatula. He loved it and carried it all over the kitchen.

On Tuesday, Matt came home early to work on a few things around the house that needed to be fixed...like our dryer quit working and matt fixed it (YAY), some dripping thing that has to do with the air conditioner...don't really know much about that because it doesn't effect me like the dryer :). While Matt was outside working on the dripping, Trigger sat by the back door and watched (and ate his snack). It was so precious how he just watched everything his daddy was doing!!! NOTE: Matt doesn't usually wear boots with shorts...please ignore his attire!!! haha!
One last thing...and I know this is going to sound really anal but it BOTHERS me that when I upload pictures to this site, it puts all the pictures in the wrong order..so after I upload, I have to go look up the picture numbers and rearrange them and put them in the correct spot! It just irritates me.
Ok...back in my happy place~! I hope you have a good weekend. Ours will be fun and VERY busy. We have the fam coming over tomorrow so I'll finish getting ready for that. THEN, we are leaving to go to the beach again. AND, I haven't packed a single thing! Hahahahaha..all you can do is laugh! and I mean laugh at the whole situation...packing, the fact that we are going to the beach AGAIN with a baby (a baby that HATES the sand), traveling 7+ hours with a baby, etc. etc. hahahahahahaha...
Back in my happy place again....pray for us that we can all survive the week (all 13 of the Hood clan).
OH...one more thing...Trigger will turn ONE while we are at the beach...keep checking back because I have some picture ideas in mind!!!! I might need to clear off my camera card!
Just one more thing...i know..this is getting a little ridiculous. I have had several friends ask pumping advice lately. If you EVER need any advice about pumping, I feel certain I can give you some tips that worked for me...I have no clue about breastfeeding so I can't help you there. It's kind of aggrevating because there are a million books on breastfeeding but none on pumping (maybe I should write one....hahaha..that really made me chuckle out loud...i guess that would be "col"). and there are sooo many women that can't successfully breastfeed but want their baby to have breastmilk....well I am here to tell you that despite what some articles will tell you, you can pump enough milk to feed your baby (and TWICE what your baby needs)....so don't hesitate to ask me pumping questions...I pumped for 10 months...surely I can help some women out!!!
Seriously...I'm done!

Birthday Sneak Peek

It's been a busy, but fun, weekend! Chasten got married this weekend so I haven't had time to post about Kelly's birthday post. Sooo...better late than never!
I haven't actually thrown a child's birthday party yet. Trigger's 1st birthday is July 29th and we are having his party on August 8th because we will be at the beach on his actual birthday. I wanted to participate in the post so I thought I would give just a sneak peek of what is to come in a couple of weeks.
Here are a few photos of things I am working on:

BTW, the theme is cupcakes with the colors lime green and blue!

Okay...and for those of you that are my FB friends...remember my post about loosing the mom/wife of the year award. Well...a series of things kept happening while I was around...of course none of them were my fault ;) Like I have NO idea who put a can of spray paint on the kitchen table and left it there for a week. However, WHY would a spray paint can leak out the bottom of the can???? so, of course, that wasn't my fault! right? Here is a picture of the the paint before I cleaned it up. This table is pretty much brand new. We have had it for 2.5 years but NEVER use it until recently. Some of the finish did come off but I guess that just adds a little character...or at least that's what I am telling myself. Not that I am feeling guilty or anything because REMEMBER, it wasn't my fault! Haha!

Like I said before, Chasten's wedding was this weekend. Chasten and I have known each other since high school. We both graduated together at Cedar Creek and now we are both teaching Pre-K at Cedar Creek...it's so weird how things work out. We have such a good time together. Anyway, I was a bridesmaid...it was really a fun weekend. I hate that Matt didn't get to come to the rehearsal dinner or the wedding but I had a good time with friends. Matt spent the entire weekend taking care of Trigger. I think he might have whipped that little boy into shape..haha! Matt was so great. I wanted Trigger to have a picture made with Chasten since that's his future Pre-K teacher. Matt got Trigger dressed in his white linen outfit and drove him over to Arcadia to have his picture made with the beautiful bride. I don't have a picture of them but the photographer took one so I will order it when they are up on the internet. Matt did take a picture of me and Trigger.

Matt also took a few pictures of Trigger playing. I love what he has on...you can so tell that his Daddy dressed him. I usually have him in a jon-jon with sandals. haha. I really do think he looks precious...I love his ralph lauren jeans and his New balance shoes. When he's dressed like this he looks so much like a BOY and not a baby. I can't believe he's about to be ONE! Oh my, oh my, how time flies!!!!!

Ok...so I'm off to finish my Hallmark movie while Trigger naps...pretty pathetic, huh? Well, I'm relaxing today. Nothing planned but RELAXING....School will be here before we know it and I've got to get all my relaxing in now because starting tomorrow, I've got to finish Trigger's party stuff, then we leave for the beach, Trigger's party on the 8th and then school on the 12th...YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!
but we're not thinking about how all of my school stuff from my room is out in the hallway and it all has to be put back in in an orderly fashion...NOPE, not thinking about it today! Back to relaxing....ahhhhhhhh!!!!

Old McDonald had a Farm...

E-I-E-I-O!
Last Saturday, Trigger went to his first friend birthday party. Mallory had her second birthday at Papa Simpson's Farm in Arcadia. I was thinking it was going to be miserably hot...and it was pretty hot but not miserable. Trigger had never been to a farm and I was curious to see how he reacted to the animals. He really liked them. Matt (and I) took about 350 pictures...WOW. Don't worry...I will not post all of them..mainly because it would take too long to upload them all.
Mrs. Susan and Trigger

Trigger wasn't really that hot but his cheeks were a little red!

Trigger petting the Lamb

Emma holding a goat while Trigger pet him/her.

And, Trigger gave the goat some LOVE..

Trigger loved the cows.

Enjoying his time on the farm!

Trigger was sooo funny riding the pony. He had a death grip on the horn.

Trigger went for a ride with Emma Pierce...I thought it was soooo precious that Emma held Trigger's hand...isn't she precious!
And he went for another ride. This poor boy (Brad's cousin) had to hold Trigger. He was so sweet with Trigger.

And the Birthday girl (Mallory) with her momma (Michelle) blowing out her candles.

Brad and Matt with their babies (Mallory and Trigger).

Mallory and Trigger giving each other some LOVE!

Mallory giving Trigger a kiss...isn't that sooo sweet!

Trigger had a great time and it wore him out! He sacked out as soon as we got on the road. Thanks, Mallory, for having a GREAT party~!

I'm Sorry!

I must have to start by saying, "I'm sorry, Save the Sparta people". I have had this swimming pool thing for Trigger since the beginning of summer.
Ours is like this one but in a square shape.
I decided to try it out yesterday. I opened the box fully prepared to have to blow up the ring around the outside. Well...lucky me (not so lucky for our water bill) I don't have to blow it because it hooks up to the water hose and the water fills up the ring. The great thing about it (and I knew Trigger would love this) is that it sprays water up. However, this thing wastes alot of water!!!
At first, when I put Trigger down, he was frozen like this.

Then, he decided that the cold water wasn't sooooo bad and he started splashing and having a good time.

This picture below reminds me sooo much of Seth (my brother). His expression and shape of his face looks so much like him. ANNNDDD, of course the blonde hair and blue eyes helps a little too!

I posted on FB about trying to decide which carseat to purchase for Trigger. After lots of input, we decided to order the Britax Marathon. It came in today and we are going to install it tonight. I am soooo excited. I just really think Trigger is going to be more comfortable in his new seat! From what I can tell so far, this seat is a very sturdy, well made seat!!!
Off to go get Trigger...he's already waking up from his afternoon nap...WHAT? it's only been 45 minutes...he must have forgotten that this nap is scheduled for TWO HOURS....guess he didn't check the calendar before going down...hahaha!!!!
